Visited for tea and had the specials a lovely hot pot, beef the melted in the mouth followed by a pavlova with fresh raspberries and strawberries. Friendly service with no pressure or rushing. Lovely evening thank you.
Been to this Pub a few times. Once with my late Parents for a few drinks, once for a send off for a good friend, once when I played a gig there and more recently when playing with the Golowan Band this year where the pub hosted us and laid food on for us. Each time I have been welcomed and treated w
Sunday lunch was excellent and the portions were substantial. Gravy was lovely. No complaints at all, well done!! It was a shame there was not more people in the pub to enjoy the good
Very nice and comfortable place to stay and visit Cornwall as it's very close to the train station and to the bus station, also very clean, provides with soap, fresh towels, tea facilities in the room, modern and clean bathroom and it is quite silent, so one can rest with no problems.
Had dinner here with the kids after a day at the beach. The portions were good and very reasonably priced. Staff were great and the best part was the music being played. Proper pub.
Great selection of food and drinks. Food was delicious, all freshly made, and extremely generous portions. Good music and atmosphere too. All very reasonably priced as well.
Lovely staff, amazing food, great atmosphere. Had a roast on sunday, one of the best roasts ive had in a while. Would recommend this place to anyone
Reasonably priced drinks, and a lovely band on for us to sit and watch. They played a great mix of music. Strange locals flitting in and out with dubious intent - but still fun to have a gawp. A barman who only grunts and looks disinterested. It felt authentic, and that's why we will probably return
The star inn is my favourite place to come for food and drinks. Ant and jack are kinda individuals who go above and beyond for us, i woudlnt choose to spend my time in any other pub in pz. The Sunday roast was delicious and portion was perfect, the drinks are well priced and the atmosphere is lovely
Not a great beer selection, rather run of the mill choices and not one true 'Premium' beer/lager available, unless you count Amstel or Guinness Staff are pleasant but not over friendly, NO disabled toilets...not that I could see. Very nice decor and a genuine old pub feel. Free WiFi, no car park.
Great pub! The food was amazing. Prices reasonable, service 💯
Recently reopened. Nice traditional pub. Sky TV. Pool table. Dog friendly. Kitchen opening soon!
