Simply THE best fish/veg restaurant I have ever eaten at. Bruce is the most passionate chef you could imagine. The Shore serves the most amazing food with a delicious wine pairing. Nothing to fault and everything to sing from the roof tops about! We live 280 miles away and have been twice in the past 4 months ...can't WAIT to come back! If you're reading this and you've never been, then make it your mission to go ... you will NOT regret it 🥰🥰🥰

I expected something different and I wasn’t disappointed! This was an innovative dining experience mixing locally sourced foods with international flavours. Highly recommend the wine pairing.. the wines have been skilfully picked to go perfectly with each dish.

An incredible dining experience. You must book ahead and there is no menu. Each day chef briuce finds what is best at the market and makes a meal out of it. There are 6 or 7 courses most of which feature the incredible local seafood. High level fine dining in a very laid back atmosphere. Highly recommended.

You just have to visit this lovely, intimate restaurant. The small plates are out of this world, plus chef Bruce is super passionate about what he does and it comes through in the food. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I had dinner at The Shore Restaurant this past Thursday. It was truly an outstanding dining experience!! Beautiful restaurant - simple and clean ambience with limited seating provides a comfortable and very pleasurable experience. The owner/chef Bruce Rennie warmly comes to great every table (yes, barefoot). As for the food, everything from the freshness, the flavours, the presentation and the wine pairings were absolutely superb! The overall experience was enhanced by Bruce coming out and talking to everyone about each upcoming course. He discusses what he was trying to accomplish with each dish, the reasons for using the ingredients he chose including sustainability, where he sources the ingredients - meaning from which farm (including his own grown produce and herbs) or from which market he went to. Bruce's passion and energy for what he does is remarkable and very much enhances the dining experience. It clearly comes through in his work. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant if you're in Cornwall and I would even say it's worth taking the trip to Cornwall if not just for this dining experience alone.

Fabulous experience all around. The food was delicious and inventive, the wine pairing was perfect, the service was spot-on. The chef came out to explain each course and tell us about why and how he created each dish, where the ingredients came from, etc. A great evening - highly recommended!

An absolute must if you're in the area (or not! ) love seafood, east asian food and a truly passionate chef. Unlike anywhere we've eaten before, and all the better for it. The wine pairing was spot on and we licked our plates clean - and that's ok... For us, the very reason we will return to Penzance in the not too distant future. Thank you Bruce & Vicki for an amazing evening.. we are still talking about it....

Dinner Shore With Chef Bruce Rennie Have you ever been to a restaurant and the actual head chef/patron greets you at the door? And then shows you to your table and chats. Bruce Rennie chef comes out of the kitchen to tell you what you’re eating and where it’s from. In his barefeet too. All served by a lovely waitress. It's a set menu with Japanese influences. The ingredients are all locally sourced and as fresh as they could possibly be. We've been wanting to visit Bruce before lockdown and planned our whole trip down to the the south west coast especially to come here. Let's just say it was well worth the journey to be able to dine in such a special restaurant. We won't list what we had. The pics show how fabulous it was. Thank you Bruce, it was great to see you'd done the washing up before we came in the kitchen. Review helpful like follow thanks.

If you are coming to Penzance, don’t miss out! We had a fantastic experience at Shore. Not your usual restaurant with the chef a one man band and greeting you bare footed for your meal, but what he cooks up is incredibly tasty. We are in love with the wasabi sorbet! Everything is very fresh and from local producers. The wine pairing was very nice as well. All in all a great evening, we will definitely be back!

This was one of the most magical evenings I’ve ever had. What has been created by Bruce is an evening where you get to share his passion for exquisite local ingredients combined into beautiful plates of food. This is not just about eating great dishes but an experience like nothing else. The restaurant is intimate, with only 14 covers, which just adds to the specialness of the night.

A very special restaurant with all dishes using different fishes and cooking styles. The chef will have a brief introduction on his cooking philosophy at the start and then would briefly describe each dish before serving. Moreover, you can stay behind to share with him after the dinner. The first time I can have such close & free communication with the chef.

What an amazing experience. If you love seafood this is the place. Amazing fresh ingredients curated beautifully. In between courses Chef will tell you the name of the day boat that sustainably caught the fish and the name of the local organic farm that produced the accompaniments. #1 tip is the wine flight which is INSANE value for money. If this was in London it would be 3X the price.

Simply wonderful! Food is amazing, some of the best seafood we've ever had on our travels around the world. Chef Bruce welcomes you and takes you through every course, with a great wine selection. You have to make your reservation as the produce is purchased for the amount of bookings, so no walk-ins. Thoroughly recommended

First and foremost Bruce is a wonderful, caring and passionate Chef. He cares deeply about his craft of providing the freshest local produce and creating wonderful flavours. When dining in the Shore he talks you through each course , on his diverse menu His creative flair is second to none and you come away feeling more enthusiastic about Seafood, than you ever have before. His personality is infectious and you feel like you have been baptised by a local fish priest:) If you're in the Penzance area, please make sure you visit The Shore, you won't be disappointed !
