Really enjoyed the food but the lady behind the counter with short hair was very sarcastic and quite cocky and rude and the other lady was polite. Bit like a good cop bad cop. Had a fish supper on way home from working in England. Was starving and the wifey at the BP garage on the A66 Scotch Corner said try the Wee Chippy in Penrith. So gave it a bash and it was DELICIOUS 🤤 😋 Plus the two wifey’s that work in there were very pleasant!! 😃

Lovely chips, the special of "small fish & chips with beans or peas" was an absolute bargain at £5.70 and was a perfect size (I always feel over-full after fish & chips normally). Mushy peas were wonderful too - thoroughly recommended!

We had a large order, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were all catered for, despite our subtlety different orders. Excellent excellent service with a broad Cumbrian smile. Oh yeah and it was delicious. 😁
