Howtown Tea Room - Penrith - Photo album

Lovely tea rooms, I have been a few times now, and the staff are always friendly and happy to chat-on. Good selection of cakes and food with pipping hot Cappuccino. Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.
What a hidden gem this is. Lovely tea room, dog friendly with both indoor seating and outdoor on the lawn. Lovely homemade sandwiches, gorgeous soup and a huge pot of tea that did 6 cups !! Very reasonably priced. Will definitely become a favourite place to visit for lunch.
Beautiful tea room perfect for a pit stop after coming off the fells and before getting the steamer back to Glendinning or Pooley Bridge. Great cakes. Worth a visit. Only open in summer season (we came Good Friday 2024 and it had only been open a day or two).
This little friendly cafe is superb Its already in an amazing location and the food on offer is also well presented and wholesome. But without doubt the Cafes stand out bonus is the friendly hardworking staff - well done everyone. Another huge bonus for us is that they are very dog friendly.
The best lemon drizzle ever! A very welcome find after a 3 hr hike. Staff are lovely, the tea room is pretty and the coffee and cake was amazing
Delightful old and modern place. Nice choice of food and beverages. Dog friendly. Next door to pub with beer garden with which it shares toilet facilities which are modern and spotless. Short walk from the sheltered bay and little beach. Perfect landing place for dinghies and yachts with a tender.
Very friendly ladies serving the best coffee I've had in ages, along with the most delicious cake. I'll definitely stop here when I pass this way again... Outside seating would have been nice.
Howtown tea room is located next to Howtown hotel. They serve sandwiches, cakes as well as hot and cold drinks. Tuna and sweetcorn sandwich was £6. Dogs are allowed inside the tearoom and there are toilets at the back which are clean. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The sandwiches may be stuck in the 80s but when you're looking for somewhere to stop during your walk you could do a lot worse. The service is friendly and quick, and there's a good selection of drinks, sandwich fillings and desserts. I wouldn't go too far out of my way, but since it's on a popula
