Brilliant B and B, Andi was absolutely lovely and very accommodating of our noisy misbehaving dog! He even brought him a breakfast sausage which was very sweet and much appreciated. Clean, comfy rooms, great breakfast and lovely walled garden. 10 out of 10!

A beautiful setting. Very comfortable and quiet room. Our welcome was second to none as was the breakfast. We required a takeaway continental breakfast as we were starting an event early and our host was so accommodating. The following morning the breakfast was fantastic. If you're looking for a base for exploring the surrounding countryside this would be it.

Having enjoyed our experience when visiting the cafe on 2 previous occasions, we booked a 2 night stay to further explore the area. From the time of booking to our eventual departure after 2 fabulous nights, we cannot fault Temple House. A lovely warm welcome when booking in, a spotlessly clean, spacious room with lots of added extras... and fabulous food (including an amazing choice with several home made items such as smoky beans and hash browns) all added up to a 5 star stay. 🤩Alison and Andy..you certainly know what customers want and deliver it in spades. Thank you..we will be coming back! 😊

Very friendly staff, clean comfortable room and delicious breakfast! This is a great choice for the Penrith area and great location. Everything went so well with this stay from finding it, parking, very comfortable bed and lovely ensuite. We even got the room earlier! Slept well as so quiet and woke up to a lovely breakfast. It's a lovely building inside and out and both myself and partner thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Would definitely recommend!

We booked in advance before our trip to the lakes and went for a meal there. Felt very welcome, the staff are very friendly and polite. The food was divine, excellent value even without the august discount. Beautiful views of the garden. Highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel, property is beautiful and the gardens are stunning. Me and my husband stayed here and from the moment we arrived it was special, we were greeted by a friendly and engaging staff who were more than happy to advise us on where to eat locally had we had a long drive up. Because we stayed here on our minimoon they made it extra special for us with prosecco in the room, truffles and Rose pettles on the bed and it was outstanding. Room and ensuite were spacious, very comfortable. Had a wonderful breakfast, the food was delicious. We were served by Claire in the morning and she was very nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a homely stay in a quiet location. Over the moon with the entire experience. My thanks go out to the entire staff for making our short stay so memorable. Would definitely return.

The food was excellent and the hotel was very nice. Although restaurant service was professional it was exceedingly cold - not friendly at all. More suited to the 1930s than the present day. The reception was exceptionally snobbish to the point of rudeness. Although we were polite and respectful, it was made clear to us that we were the 'wrong sort of people'. I have never been so insulted in my 62 years.

Just stopped here for a noon snack. This place offers excellent food and service. Portions are not massive but very tasty. Easily missed so keep your eyes open. Walk through the archway and around the back of the house. Eat in or outside.
