The Beehive, Eamont Bridge, Penrith, Cumbria Chris, the Manager's, welcome to the pub as we walked in was exactly what I would expect. We asked if there was a table free to eat and, although we hadn't booked, there was a reserved table more than ample to accommodate our 4 which he said we could sit at as it wasn't booked until 8.30. He asked if he could take our drink order while we were at the bar and promptly dispensed our drinks. The staff were attentive and took our food order when they noticed we had stopped discussing what we were going to have! The food came within the half hour. Gammon, 2 eggs and chips, 2 Ultimate Beehive Burgers (which were whoppers and extremely good value) and a steak and black pudding pie with fresh veg and chips. The food was extremely good value and plenty of it. My pie was to die for. Home made chips, veg aldente. Chris came our side of the bar on several occasions to check with diners that everything was ok with the food and take any further drink orders, which he brought to the table for you. My main praise was customer service. Chris made us feel like locals. He went that extra mile. The waiting staff were polite, asking if there was anything else they could get you to compliment your meal. Felt pampered! Thoroughly recommend this pub. The beer garden is fabulous. Wonderfully kept gardens and a children's play park too. Ticked all my boxes good time.

Had a great night on Friday 23/6/17 at the Beehive. Really friendly and helpful staff, good range of beers and excellent food. There was a live band on who were great with the kids and played requests so catering for the clientele. Great beer garden, would definitely recommend this place for families

We called in just to see if we could bring our dogs in after our lovely walk. Very welcoming, lovely atmosphere and the food was outstanding. The ladies bathroom was immaculate not just the basics for ladies toilets but lovely presentation every thing you could possibly need to freshen up. Baby changing unit too. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Even fresh flowers on the windowsills.

The most hospitable restaurant I’ve ever been to! from the amazing wait staff to the children’s play area outside. Everything was so thoughtful and intentional to be accommodating. We were just passing through on a road trip with our 2 and 4 yr olds. We got steak pies and the spaghetti for the kids. Food was amazing! But I just can’t stop thinking about how kind and great everything else was. The playground outside had everything - this place would be our #1 spot if we lived here!! Don’t hesitate if you’re looking for: good drinks, good food, kid-friendly, hospitality, and much more!!

Booked a table for 18 for a Sunday lunch while staying at center parcs. What a fab pub , staff couldn't have been more accommodating and lovely home cooked food at competitive prices. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend.

First visit here passing through en route north. Warm welcome, lady behind the bar was friendly. Log fire on the go, decent food portions, football on TV at low volume and fair prices....what more does one need! Would recommend 👍

Food was delicious, staff were friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere, very homely. We had the Beehive burgers and enjoyed them very much! A detail I found brilliant was the basket in the ladies toilets filled with various feminine products at no charge. A very nice touch and I'm sure useful to many!

We found this place by accident, and honestly I'm not sure we would have gone if my missus didn't like the name, however this was next level. The burgers were phenomenal. The bar staff were great, nice cosy fire. Will go back again.

Incredible value and friendly locals and staff. We stayed the night in the apartment above and that was the best value accommodation for miles. The food was delightful and we participated in the pub quiz, as well as watching the football on TV. It has Sky and BT Sport, so worth a visit if you want to watch the football!
