The perfect place to pass the time while the kids were battling with the elements at Kendal Calling! Amazing create-your-own pizzas and possibly the best quiche I’ve ever eaten. Home-made lasagne, cakes, and locally-produced beers. Just a shame we weren’t there for tapas night too . A lovely setting and great staff. Highly recommended .

Lovely tearoom which we came across when walking through Morland. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend the cake was lovely and all homemade.

Such a pretty village with the lovely ford and streams. Stunning old buildings with this little gem of a cafe in the centre. Lovely wholesome food, great prices, friendly service and free wifi - a bit worried about sharing this widely in case too many others find it and go there

We love to visit the Mill Yard Cafe whenever we get to the Lake District. Fabulous cream teas but make sure you get there early if you want fruit scones (they seem to sell out fast!)

We recently stayed at Morland House and the Mill Yard Cafe was recommended to us by the owners. We were a group of 17 and pre-ordered wood-fired pizzas for our first evening, quite simply to save anyone having to cook! The pizzas were absolutely delicious, ready on time and the order was fulfilled perfectly, we can’t recommend enough! Thank you so much!

Lovely authentic feel Italian restaurant We sat outside, the seating is comfortable, there is a good amount of cover from sun & a little rain. The garlic bread & pizza are tasty, they have lactose free cheese that was very helpful for a choice. The staff are friendly & attentive It is situated in a pleasant wee spot a few paces away from a small river over a bridge. I would definitely recommend this place and would go back if we were in the area again.

What a gem well off the beaten track in a very quaint village. Very quintessentialy English village rural retreat. Great food at reasonable prices with the staff being freindly and efficient. Only a couple of miles detour off the A66 but well worth the extra few miles.

We got there just before closing on a Sunday, staff were very friendly and served hot/cold drinks and cake - nice stop after a nice walk - thank you.

Called in for afternoon tea and cake today. Both of which were delicious. Warm welcome from the friendly owners. Nice outdoor courtyard seating area with canopies for shelter. Would recommend to anyone x

A cute cafe located in the heart of a quaint little village! Ordered some hot drinks and it was so comforting on a cold winter day. The cups had really cute designs featuring the surrounding landscapes as well.

Decided to follow a road sign on the off-chance yesterday. So glad we did. Lovely little cafe in an idyllic position. Having found a seat the owner polity asked if we would mind sitting upstairs as she had just taken a booking from a person with limited mobility. Glad they look after such customers. Absolutely no problem. Service was great, staff friendly and food was excelant. Lots of choice for my wife who is celiac.
