Nice pastie, we have Black coffee so had to have spooned / jar coffee as their machine didn’t do black. Lovely selection of cakes. Great location at the side of the river, very handy for a stop off during your walk, close to Thors cave, free roadside lay-by parking Toilet attached Very popular with hikers, bikers and cyclists

What a lovely secret hidden in the Manifold valley! Highly recommend stop-off place if your walking or cycling the famous trail. Lovely Rocky Road and a smashing mug of tea. Thank you!

A lovely little tea room! We came here after visiting Thors cave nearby, the service was very friendly and quick. Prices were good and there was a lovely seating area outside near the river.

Cosy little place in a lovely riverside location. Only sandwiches and cakes available but none the worse for that, there's ice cream of course. The local cats and ducks are very friendly

This is a really good example of simple food done well. They do sandwiches, cakes, toast, crumpets. There is a large range of sandwiches. Don’t expect gourmet toppings on sourdough - it’s your bog-standard supermarket ingredients, but every sandwich is made fresh, with a generous amount of filling, and the customer service is warm and welcoming. The cakes, and I speak as an avid home-maker with high standards, are excellent. They’re clearly homemade, moist, and full of flavour. We had a generous SLAB of coffee and walnut, which was generous with the walnuts and the icing, and honestly was just perfect. The teas were also spot on. Overall, really good value too. It’s simple food, done well, and made with love and care by lovely people.

Nice little café a must stop on the way to Thors cave to get a few drinks for the hike ahead. The perfect place to visit on the way back from Thors cave as well. Toasted teacakes are good. Staff are helpful with information about nearby caves. Nice view of a small river next to the cafe as well with loads of ducks

Great spot to grab a bite after walking to Thor’s Cave. The pasty and sausage rolls were hot and delicious, there were heaps of ducks in the river, a couple of hens wandering around and a very forward cat, who demanded to be petted!
