Good place to have nigh out. Very friendly people's. Will visit again
Its one of those few traditional pubs that still cater for a relaxed refreshment. Obviously catering for events dear to regular customers hearts and the bar staff might well listen - they might not as well, which is the age old battle between landlord and demanding customers. The conversation is always about retaining things we love and these things we value; on occasion to the passer by it sounds like moaning but often thats just the pain of caring. Local pubs serve a purpose for local communities, turn up and you can help define that.
Best place for a pint in town. Always a great welcome.
Visited this great pub yesterday. Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Would highly recommend π
Popped in for some drinks with friends early evening. Very friendly bar staff, great choice of cider and beer and we all got seats. Nice cosy village style pub.

Cosy friendly pub. Great staff.
Popped in on a recent sunny Sunday afternoon. Used the beer garden. The barmaid was welcoming and friendly. All the Covid guidelines are being followed. Would highly recommend.
Lovely but closes at 10pm π
Great pub atmosphere is very good
Went for a quiz night which was good fun, came last but hey ho π old fashioned pub but I like that kind of pub, was the place where I had my first date with my wife of now 34 years back in 1984.
Good traditional pub in the heart of the town. Service very efficient and good prices. A fun Saturday night.
Old school pub, been there since 17th century as a coaching in. Open fire.
This pub has a good section of drinks and a good atmosphere
One of the oldest pubs in Midlothian. Still one of the most popular pubs in Penicuik. Great for watching sport, or having a good night out on a Saturday.
