Groes Wen Inn - Penhow - Photo album

Lovely evening celebrating our aniversary. Nice food, lovely staff. We will be back
Took advantage of their January offer for lunch from £5. The food was really good, the surroundings gorgeous and the staff were happy and welcoming. I particularly liked the coffee with mini desert. The coffee was lovely and strong and the mini desert was just enough.
It was so nice, and I enjoyed my delicious Prime Steak and my friend had chicken kebab. The waitresses were helpful, caring, and lovely. Keep up the great work 👏
Had an amazing birthday meal here, the food was amazing and tasty with great attentive service. Well worth a visit highly recommended.
Lovely afternoon tea today with friends. Staff were lovely. 14.95 was good value. Gluten free was the second photo.
Lovely meal and great service from very competent staff. Family member had the paella and was very pleased with it. Nice to see locals using the pub as well. Hopefully a return visit in the near future.
After a drive up to Brecon we decided to drop in at the Groes Wen Inn for lunch. At first glance you could tell this was going to be an experience. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Main lunches and also a lighter lunch choice if you wish. We both decided to have the Moroccan Lamb let me tell you,
Very good quality food at a very reasonable price. Atmosphere is relaxed. Worth a visit to enjoy a interesting menu with loads to choose from. Even the kids menu offers better choices than most others.
Sarah and her team manage a great public house, part of the vintage inns group, the menu is very good. I recommend the fish and chips, and lasagne. The Christmas decorations are very well trimmed. Worthy of a visit.
Found this gem whilst driving around. What can I say. The decor was beautiful. The open fire was very inviting. The menu was of great choice. The service from staff was faultless, the food was generous, excellent value, lovely place. Will definitely come back again.
We visited here for Sunday lunch. Megan was our waitress and very helpful and patient, while we were ordering. Food was outstanding and definitely worth the money, 2 courses for £19.95. 2 for 1 cocktails were a hit with our group too, so much so the Mojitos kept coming!
Love this pub. Staff are really friendly. Location is great and the views if your sat on the front are fab. Especially on a sunny day. Food is also lovely. Bit pricey but worth it.
Great food, with good service and a relaxing vibe. Only downfall is the terrible car park which impacts either end of a lovely restaurant.
We had a great night good food Good selection of wine service is good 👍
Nice Sunday Lunch. Staff polite and friendly. Best Chocolate Brownie and Ice Cream I've had. Parking a struggle as not much spaces in official car park for the number of customers with people having to park on side streets and on grass verges which shows how popular it is.
