We called in when our off chance finding the cafe on the way to the beach. Very friendly staff, totally welcomed our dogs outside on the patio area. Our food was beautiful, both the panini's & the scrumptious salted caramel cake. We will be calling again, the sooner the better xx

Visiting the Plump Tart is always a pleasure. Little walk through the woods to the beach afterwards . . . Then back up to a delightful little tea shop in the car park. Forget the name but it's the only one. 5 stars.

Still thinking abt those crab toast thingies yesterday. It was like eating heaven; followed by the divine rhubarb meringue and a lovely pot of tea! Made our walk perfect

Adorable small tea/sandwich cafe 5 minutes walk from the beach. I had a delicious salad trio. Very clean and well decorated. If we came again to Penbryn beach we will stop here for sure.

Great place for a break after the steep walk from the beach. Friendly staff and great tasting cake, and some real effort went into making the coffee look it's best.

Parked here at the National Trust car park for a visit to Penbryn Beach and decided to stop for a little treat. Café closed at 16:00 (it is February) and we arrived at 15:00 so went first. Just over £20 for two coffees, luxury hot chocolate, and three cakes (not all for me). All the cakes are displayed as home made using locally sourced ingredients, which is nice. As were the cakes! We all had different cakes and they all were lovely. Being mid February, it wasn’t that busy, but there was a steady stream of people. The staff there were friendly and polite and we were made to feel welcome. As mentioned, there is parking and there are also public facilities. The dog was welcome too. The beach is a few minutes walk, all downhill but the return journey is therefore uphill and may not be suitable for all. you can drive down, but it’s a drop off only, no parking. The beach is picturesque, some pebbles but mostly sandy. Superb way to pass some time.

What a great little spot to relax and unwind. Great food and lovely staff, just a short walk from the beach and some delightful woodland walks with waterfalls nearby. Well worth going to and experiencing, I am definitely going to go back and enjoy more of what they have to offer on the menu. We only stopped for a sandwich and a coffee, but I'm keen to try more. It is in a National Trust car park that does come with a hefty price tag (£5 at the time of writing!) but if you are an NT member I believe it's free.

What a hidden gem! Brilliant service (so friendly) and food was top notch! We had cake (Malted Apple) and coffee on arrival before heading down to the beach for a walk. Upon return we had lunch of squash soup (vegan) and beef cawl (not) - absolutely perfect on a windy autumn day. Would very much recommend.

The best lunch and cake we’ve had in a long time. After walking from Llangrannog to Penbryn with two dogs, a 4-year-old, and a 4-month-old, The Plwmpt Tart was a sight for sore eyes. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even indulging our spirited 4-year-old, who was most definitely having an off day. We ordered the flattened baguettes (apologies, but we can't recall their exact name), and they turned out to be the highlight of our week in terms of eating out. The accompanying salad wasn't the usual lackluster attempt; it was simply perfect. And let's not forget the cakes – my husband enjoyed the carrot cake, while I savoured the white chocolate blondie. Both were absolutely scrummy. Thank you all and we'll definitely be back!

Nice little cafe with friendly staff and broad selection of cakes. Toilets are in the car park and are clean. Plenty of parking available and then a 0.3 mile walk to a great beach.

A wonderful little cafe tucked away out of view from the road. We discovered this little gem on the way down to Penbryn beach on our bikes. An excellent place for taking a break before the cycle back up the hill to St Michael’s church. The staff are lovely, great food & lovely cakes. I’d say this is the home to the best sausage rolls in the World! We were lucky to get the last of the caramelised onion and pork sausage rolls - truly amazing.
