During my visit to this place, I had the opportunity to savor a few of their delectable dishes. The fish and chips were exceptional, with the crispy batter adding an irresistible crunch to the succulent fish. Additionally, the vegan sausage and mushroom pie was bursting with flavor, and the perfect blend of spices and seasonings made it a delight to eat.
What made the experience even more special was the stunning sea view. The picturesque scenery was the perfect backdrop to the delicious food, and the soothing sound of waves added to the overall ambience. It was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish for a long time.
Their menu is diverse and caters to different dietary requirements, and the sea views are simply breathtaking. I highly recommend this place 👍
Probably the best choice for fish and chips if you are at Penarth pier.
Nice and clean inside if the weather's not great outside, speaking of outside, there is outdoor seating available with tables and benches.
Parking is hit and miss with spaces available all down the road but it is busy.
Prices are higher than average due to the location and wait times can be high.
Standard scampi was a little bit chewy but in general liked it. Great chips and curry sauce, would recommend to anyone walking across the Penarth pier!
Speedy service, the vegetarian options of halmoni and Cauliflower were very tasty, but, the chips slightly undercooked. The tables were clean and tidy
Fabulous rough and ready fish and chips. This is not gourmet, this is not the cleanest and tidiest restaurant in Wales. But if you want a very decent, fresh, well sized fish and chip meal on the sea front at a very decent price then this is the place. Deep fried cream egg available if your arteries can stand it. Also has decent vegan offerings too. Recommended.
Well worth the usual queues outside this place. Attended at the recommendation of a friend who raves about it. Takeaway only at the moment, which isn't a bad thing anyway since you're right on the pier so plenty of benches around. They've got a good set up outside for queueing and social distancing.
Plenty of menus posted outside and on the walls inside & out so you can decide while you wait. Good selection too, loads of options. I don't eat fish personally so last time I had battered halloumi, chips & beans. Prior to that, I had chicken curry 'off the bone' which was nice, but there was nothing off the bone about it - clearly just frozen chicken breast pieces. Chips are really good though which is what you want from a chippy.
Delicious fish and chips after a long walk. Very friendly staff who kindly brought our food over to us as they could see we had a child (she enjoyed her chips too!)
Super tasty fish and chips, not too oily, yummy battered cauliflower. We went on a really rainy day so can't say atmosphere was anything other than comfortable for the time, would like to go back when sunny
Large Battered Cod cooked whilst I waited. Very good quality.
Chips were over cooked and appeared to be reheated from previously. I I know freshly cooked chips and these were definately not freshly cooked, unlike the Battered Cod.
Nice helpful staff and I will return, but hope I'll be more impressed next time.
Really nice size fish if you have a large cod. Food is really nice. 2 young boys on the till. Had our food in drips and drabs. Don’t think they could arrange a piss up in a brewery. Other than that food spot on
Great fish & chips made more enjoyable by the fantastic view out to the channel, always manage to find a seat but queues can be lengthy on busy days!
Amazing fish and chips
Really good choices of Vegan and GF food.
Gluten free chicken balls!! I’ve waited so long for these to come along!! Soooo good, highly recommend. Gluten free curry sauce and potato fritters. Quite a few other options too. All GF labelled too. Will definitely be going back for more!
