Calm and relaxed beach with few ice cream and coffee shops. Had an amazing day out. I think there is parking closer to the pier itself, but we ended up worrying about not find any spots and parked a 10 minute walk away. Lovely walking space for both dogs and humans. Definitely recommend visiting this place.
A beautiful pier with gorgeous views. The parking is very limited but if you're lucky you can park very close for free for 2 hours. We had fish and chips which was very tasty and fairly reasonably priced from the shop at the start of the pier. Lovely place.
A fantastic day spent strolling around the Pier in the glorious sunshine. The Peir has been beautifully restored, and is a very pleasant place to spend time walking, or sitting on it's numerous benches, to relax and take in the views of the stunning coastline.
Walked to Penarth from Cardiff Bay, across the tidal barrage. Spent a lovely afternoon, fortunately blessed with sunny weather, on the Pier. Sat and ate Fish and Chips and then later had an ice cream on the Pier. Beautiful day out.
Wow... amazing atmosphere... the sky looks so close to the water.... its really beautiful, I can't wait to visit again.
I have posted videos with this review and If you love nature this place is worth the visit, I visited here at around 10 in the morning and there were very few people visiting at that time, however, that didn't stay the same for too long as there were a lot of people almost after an hour. The pier itself is beautifully situated and you'll surely enjoy your time there if the weather is by your side. There are various stalls and restaurants to keep your tummy full, there's a public toilet which is free, there's ample parking space. You can have a nice walk down the road, you can go down to the beach and sit and have a chat and overall have a good relaxing time.
Day out on Waverly paddle steamer to Ilfracombe. Cost £53 per person. Was able to take own food /drink on board but also refreshments /bar on board.
Was lovely day out departing Penarth Pier at 10am and returned around 9:30 pm having had 4 hours at Ilfracombe. See waverly website for further info.
We had a lovely hour out at Penarth Pier. The pier is smaller than some other famous piers but still manages to house the pier pavilion, the ice cream shop, a cafe and toilets near the pier entrance.
There are two sheltered seating areas around halfway along the pier and quite a few other benches dotted along it.
We enjoyed a relaxing stroll along the pier and sea front.
There is limited parking available here so most people end up parking on the hill and walking down. There are quite a few disabled spaces near the pier.
Beautiful to be by the seaside but not very swim friendly with pepples and mud knee deep silt. Great variety of excellent food.
Amazing place to go out for a nice walk, and food was amazing too, definitely worth a vist 🥳
