We had the best meal here that we’ve had in a long time. A gorgeous steak cooked to perfection with crispy tasty chips and the best blue cheese sauce I’ve ever had. We had this with an ice cold bottle of PinoGrigio and followed it with a selection of desserts. Can’t wait to go back

Haven't been here for near on 30yrs when I used to be a regular, me and Mrs had family over from Sicily for few days so thought we'd give it a try, didn't recognize the place but what a transformation, we were told our food would be at least 40minutes as it was very busy, the outcome was the food came as promised, couldn't fault it, mushrooms/cheese side was awesome, 4of us enjoyed the moment, as for the staff, very polite and friendly, even thought they were busy, a credit to the pub, they, overall experience for me 10/10 excellent service , thank you

Had a lovely meal here this evening. Asked for a wheelchair accessible table and were given a lovely large table with lots of space. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals, delicious! Staff also make the place, they chatted to the children and made sure we were happy all evening. We will be back

A lovely pub, great location with nice views. We went for Sunday lunch, which was really nice & a very generous portion. Plenty of meat, potatoes & veg! Great value for money & the staff were fab, in particular, our server, Louise.

Stunning restaurant with glamorous interior with a heritage feel. Numerous dining areas and tables to cater for all size groups. Good menu with choices to cover vegetarians and meat lovers. Recommend the prawn cocktails as a starter, fish for main served with mash. Good drinks options with bar on site offering beers on tap, bottles of wine and champagne. Bathrooms clean. Need a car to get there with parking on site. Love your local guide- M❤️ Follow or like me please if helpful

Been to this stunning place loads of times but now just reviewing it . One of the cosiest pub and restaurant you will find . The menu is highly varied and is changed seasonally, always top quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In the summer it gets packed as the views outside of sully island and the Bristol chanel are amazing . I highly recommend this place . Oh and if you have a dog bring it along. They supply water in bowls for your canine friends 👍. Another visit on 2nd of August 2023 and the same warm welcome , the clear views to sully Island and across the Bristol Channel to steepholm Island were amazing , I went for the 22 day mature steak and beef brisket burger with fries , while my girlfriend went for the pie of the day , beef in red wine pie with mash and fresh vegetables, absolute stunning, lots of pooches in the restaurant , I adore them . Put it on your to do list ❤️

Absolutely lovely dinner, I had a trio of meats. I've never had turkey or pork so tender. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful gravy too. My only niggles are that my food was only just about warm, and I wish there was more veg on offer not just carrot and broccoli. It is expensive but with more veg and a hot meal it's worth it!

Great location by the sea. Lovely food. Good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Not forgetting your pet pooch as dogs are welcome, too.

We stopped in here to warm up during the rain, the food and drinks were wonderful. We chose an appetizer of scallops and shrimp and for a main course chicken and pancetta pie. The food was more than enough for two people and we enjoyed every last bite of it. We also ordered some drinks, the mocha was so good I ordered 2! We actually came back after a few hours for more drinks and another appetizer of Camembert and marmalade and we devoured it, it was that good!

Lovely food and interior plus the views across to the motherland. Try getting some real ales in, other than Doombar

The restaurant is situated at the bottom of a narrow lane that looks over sully island. The decor is 'olde worlde'. Large free outdoor car park and large outdoor eating space. Menu is small but fine although veggie and vegan choices are limited

Seated on a table with a nice view outside. Food delicious, especially the burger. Richard kindly lit the fire after we said how cold we got on our walk before going for food. Great service.

Good standard of food and service. We were comfortable and enjoyed our meal. Wheelchair accessible which is essential for us. Be very very careful when parking. They use one of those parking companies so you have to enter your car reg in the pub. Be very very careful to park within the lines.

Visited on a Thursday evening. I had fish, which was cooked perfectly. The tast was lovely and the batter was light. I asked if I could swap the chunky chips for fries. When the food came the plate was full of the most tasty fries. My wife had a burger which was also perfect. Good value tasty food and a good atmosphere, that's all you can ask for. Will be returning.
