Lovely little pub with a great beer garden overlooking the scenic river. We had two lunch wraps which were nice but my only complaint would be they had way too much hummus in them. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again if in the area!
Love the boat in. Our favourite pub in the area. Excellent selections of local beer, cider, gin, mead. Lovely staff. Only downside is its a bit small, but it does have a massive and beautiful garden next to the river Wye.
A really excellent little pub with great outdoor space right on the river. Fantastic selection of local ciders and beers. We drove up from Tintern for dinner and the folk night. Well worth the short trip and it rounded out a great holiday.
Very friendly folks. I stopped here on my Wye Valley walk after a few hours walking. They have some nice local ales. Lovely stop right on the river.
Had a great lunch here sat outside above the river. Food was superb and particularly impressive for the vegan options. Filled up quickly so obviously a popular spot and we'll be back next time we're in the area.
Great little pub. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Our fellow patrons were equally sociable. The Ploughmans platter was excellent. The selection of ciders is great. It my favourite pub.
Great, quirky riverside pub, with lovely riverside seating and cliffside seating areas. Great selection of beers and ciders. Lovely atmosphere, popular with dog walkers, hikers and kayakers alike.
What a place! Always make a point of stopping off here when we are down this way. Cosy little pub, nestled into the hillside, right on the water’s edge of the Wye. Riverside seating out front, or in the terraced banking to the rear. Huge range of ciders to choose from and really great food. Makes a
Wow 🤩 what an amazing place and experience. I went there with my dog. We walked along the river, then we had a drink and some food in the Boat Inn. I had a cold low alcohol Stowford Press cider and a jacket potato and chilli. Amazing beer gardens. Dog friendly. Fabulous staff. Cute little pub by th
Great little pub in very picturesque location not to be missed, but road up and down is narrow, if I went again I'd park in village nearby and walk over the bridge to it, as wouldn't like to meet a car coming in opposite direction, very few passing places. Plenty of gluten free options and dog frie
Teeny tiny pub just over a footbridge into Wales (or England, depending on which way you are walking). Huge selection of cider and a good selection of Wye Valley beer. Food was tasty and good value in the current climate. Will definitely be back!
Lovely atmosphere, great seating outdoors and our trip down the river in our canoes from Wye Valley Experience who recommended us to stop for a drink and food was spot on.
Great location for a lunch break on our journey to South Wales. Great food & service😋. Get there early, though, on a Sunday as it gets very busy with walkers.
Nice meal sat outside by the river. A really good selection of local ciders. Parking is a problem, so you might be best parking on the other side of the river and walking over the old railway bridge.
Rare treasure of a pub. Beautiful riverside position steeped in history all around. Staff service food all excellent
Fabulous location. Great outside seating area. Staff very friendly. Would definately recommend
A splendid list of Welsh ciders and very good food. Well worth a visit. Only ate and drank.
