It’s very rare I ever give top marks for everything but…. Wow! This place is absolutely amazing. Ive never eaten a roast dinner in a restaurant and thought it was better than my own, but the black horse is on a level with mine but their meat was way better. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpf

Went as a family for the carvery. Excellent meal, plenty to eat. You could have all the meats on offer if you wanted to. Great atmosphere. Would recommend.
Writing this review whilst still in the pub, as I fear I’ll be in a food coma shortly! Amazing food, big portions and really friendly staff. Cant recommend this place enough. We have spent the weekend up here visiting from Dorset. Well worth coming!

My partner and I visited the black horse with our 2 children yesterday. We was glamping at woodland Farm and when we asked locals where they would recommend to eat this place was highly recommended and they did not disappoint us.
Lovely special meal out. Seafood starter lovely. Shared between 2 and still plenty, so watch out when ordering. Even the smaller portion main meal was plenty and good value. Very creative desert in a bag👍

This is a very large space having both indoor and outdoor tables and seating. It is a very popular place for Sunday lunch with a carvery that you can get second helpings from. There was a choice of meats as well as a vegetarian option and a large choice of cooked vegetables. Everything was well prep
We were visiting nearby and I looked online for a place to eat. That is how we found out about The Black Horse. When I saw they offered lambs liver i had to eat there. I was not disappointed. Delicious! All the food that came to our table was fabulous. If we should be in the area again at some point
Just had a fantastic Sunday carvery here at the Black horse. Never been before. Can't wait to go again. Food was fantastic, plenty of it, and you can keep going back for more. Puddings we're huge and very good. Pub was busy, and I can see why, will be going back again soon
A lovely old fashioned pub with a very pleasant covered outside area. Shame that people outside smoke; as a non-smoker, it would be nice to sit outside without the smoke. We had some chips, which were good. Food is not served until 5.
This is an amazing place who went above and beyond for us for a birthday meal and marriage proposal , the food was amazing, the staff were absolutely amazing and just as excited as we were for the evening ahead. They really couldn’t do enough for us and made it very special

Used this venue for my Wife's 40th birthday surprise. Staff were lovely and accommodating, food was fantastic and the venue itself was stunning. All the guests commented on how beautiful it was. Thank you for making it a 40th to remember.
Decent food and, lovely place to chill with family and friends. The most enjoyable and unique thing about this place was the live dart tournament in the pub. Amazing experience.
Food was amazing. Best steak 🥩 I've had for years. Big starter's so beware if you can't eat a big starter and main meal. Staff fantastic and friendly.
