Popped in for a drink on a grey October afternoon with the family. Warm welcome, great drinks selection, comfy seats and board games next to a lovely warm fire…exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be back for another visit!
“They don’t make pubs like they used to”….but The Speculation Inn is an exception to the rule. Homely, welcoming, modern where it needs to be and traditional where it always has been. Great job all involved!
Recently refurbished, fantastic new interior but keeps the feel of the old building. Dog friendly. Free cawl being offered on the weekend which was very welcome on a wet and windy afternoon. Can’t recommend this place enough.
We were looking for a place to camp our campervan for the night. Martin and his mum who had recently taken over the pub when we visited in September are making a lot of changes to the place.
Martin went aboulve and beyond to ensure we had what we needed and even offered to open the bar just for us.
Basic site but excellent, family run pub and site, excellent food and Sunday carvery. Extremely good dog friendly. If you like a good old fashion pub and grub this is the place for you

Great welcome from the friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food was very tasty and washed down with a pint of local cider. Kids were all happy with their free ice creams too! We will definitely be returning when we head to Pembroke again.
Love this place. A little rustic campsite and fab friendly pub. Made to feel very welcome and even took part in the pub quiz with the locals. Finished the night off (very late) with 20 year old plum gin with another couple staying at the site!!!
Excellent .. Very warm welcome Outstanding food and excellent choice of beers. A Good old fashion pup . Very few of this type of pubs left these days. Would Highly recommend this pup for both food and drink .. proper home cooked quailty .... 10 out of 10....
Lovely old country pub in beautiful surroundings. Fab atmosphere, staff very friendly and helpful. In the process of being renovated, and original features being tastefully kept.
