Really enjoyed our stay here whilst visiting family. The staff were really friendly and helpful The food was good. I particularly enjoyed my breakfast omlette. The room was quite basic but clean and warm and we found the bed and pillows a bit too soft for our liking. I love history and old things , so the original features and some antique furniture appealed. I would stay again.

Lovely, relaxed hotel in the centre of town. After a six hour drive, the hot, deep bath was the best I've had in years. Engaging and informative owner. Breakfast perfect. Had evening meal as extra, also very good. Great selection of ales and ciders too. Overall a fantastic home from home stay and will definitely return in the future.

We didn’t stay in the rooms, so this is based on our dining experience only. I would advise to book in advance as it can get busy, especially during peak times during the summer months. The food was exquisite to say the least, reasonably priced with really superb staff on hand to support. My only gripe was, whilst the back dining room was absolutely beautifully put together and rustic, as well as oozing history, the tables and set up felt overly ‘grand’, plus it was very quiet compared to the front of the hotel eating area where it was more lively. Given the two eating areas, we’d have preferred to have dined towards the front as opposed to the back, so if you like atmosphere try to get a table at the front of the hotel! Overall a great visit 👍🏻 NB. We walked from our BNB, so can’t comment on parking, aside from the street parking (which is limited).

We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner there. What a great moment we had ! The food was excellent, the battered cod was cooked to perfection and the steak pie was delicious. The kids had homemade burgers : so good that they finished everything although the portions were huge ! The sticky toffee pudding was incredible. Many thanks to all members of staff who were very professional, friendly and very patient with our not-so-good english 😉

Lovely food, quick service from ordering food to arrival at the table. Able to cater well for gluten free diet with lots of choices available and very large portion sizes! Dog friendly also in the bar side which plenty of table seating available 👍

We did not stay in the Hotel. We just popped in for food and real hospitality. No TV. No radio. No noise. Just a magic place where everyone is welcome and feels home. Great food, adorable people and lovely atmosphere. We will come back. Love and light from Yasmin and Giri from the Netherlands 💕

Traveled all around Europe and this is the best food I’ve had so far. I highly recommend the sweet potato hummus, tomato bisque, bread and butter, and local fish. Also, for desserts, the sticky toffee pudding, their strawberry *special, and chocolate ice cream were incredible!! Staff was also so kind and welcoming.

This review is just for the Sunday roasts as I've not stayed here. The Sunday roasts were recommended to me by someone local and so we decided a visit was definitely needed. I love a good roast and I've had more than my fair share over the years. I have to say that the roasts here are probably the best I've ever eaten. They are THAT good! Can't recommend this experience enough. This will be a regular for me! Just superb 🥰

Stopped at the pub for a cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and the service was quick and it was an excellent cup of cappuccino. Probably the best cup of coffee I had all week.👍

Pembroke is beautiful and this place was a nice find. Wr only ate here. The dishes were all a small bit over salted and a bit expensive but otherwise delicious. I will definitely come back.

Absolutely fantastic hospitality and food. Spent Good Friday and Saturday here as B&B guests and ate here both evenings. The best menu for a long time, options to have battered cockles to start, rainbow trout, sea bream, cod or battered cod then, Kippers for breakfast! Great wine beer and atmosphere! Thanks to ALL we thoroughly enjoyed everything you had to offer, oh yes the omelette for breakfast SO good!

The pie was fantastic and we really enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Quite rare to find somewhere that does classic dishes so well.

On Sunday they do reast dinners only. The staff were wonderful. The food portions were more than ample and very well cooked. I would highly recommend this place.
