Quite the best place within a short distance of our home in Biggar for the autumn colour and smells - and the best lunch! You all do a great job, Team Dawyck.
Thoroughly recommend a visit. Small attractive cafe with delicious food and pleasant staff. Very tempting shop.
The gardens were looking magnificent. Rhododendrons in full bloom giving beautiful colour and the trees in new leaf were so many varied shades. A perfect place to wander on a lovely May afternoon.
What a glorious place in a beautiful setting... I have never seen such variety of lovely trees... The visitors centre is a great example of modern architecture bringing the outdoors indoors and the scones were the best I had in a long time...!
I have only lived in Scotland for 8 months and I have never seen Autumn. The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful and the café and shop top class. I had the most wonderful, peaceful time strolling in the gardens with a friend.
We come a couple of times a year to visit these beautiful gardens as they are always changing. Well done to all the gardeners for all their hard work in maintaining them. Lovely cafe with home-baked goodies and very friendly people and volunteers. Nice half day out. Their guided tour is also worth doing. It was very interesting. I'd give them more stars if I could! Peebles is nearby so always worth combining with a trip to the lovely independent shops that can still be found there making a good day out.
We come to Dawyck, about once a week as it's such a fabulous place. The grounds are stunning, beautifully kept and tended, the cafe is outstanding as are the lovely staff. We love seeing it in all seasons, each visit holds new botanical surprises, the place is always changing and with the great weather this Easter weekend, it was particularly great to be able to sit on the well-placed benches and enjoy! Membership is worth every penny. Thanks to everyone who makes Dawyck such a superb experience for the whole family.
My all time favourite place in the world. A visit has never ever been a disappointment. It's a very special place.
Very peaceful place to visit. Beautiful setting .A hidden jem in the Scottish Borders.
Absolutely fabulous, massive place and very picturesque, great trails, loved it!
Even though it was raining still enjoyed my visit and walk round the gardens. Food was also good in tearoom - good choice of gluten free and friendly service
Enchanting, relaxing and great tour guides.
Enriching our knowledge of this beautiful garden - Sight, smell, sound and touch.
Lovely well kept gardens by volunteers - fabulous cafe with delicious home made food. Gluten free available too
Lovely cafe, great for after walking around the gardens. You can access the cafe without buying tickets for the garden. Good basic choice of foods, soup, sandwich, toasties and jackets. Also other daily specials, hubby had quiche and salad. I had cheese & sweet chilli toastie. Not badly priced about £20 including drink.
just had the most delicious sour dough coronation chicken sandwich and salad at Dawyck cafe!! absolutely the best i’ve ever had and the cheese scones too are just too delicious!! thank you for a delicious lunch! see yiu soon!!
I have visited the cafe many times and I have never been let down. Whether you want to have a coffee and a cake, a light snack or your lunch, there will be something for you. The scones are delicious, freshly baked, usually a choice of plain, fruit or cheese. If you want, there are some in the freezer to take home. A great choice of toasted sandwiches is available. The soup is homemade and delicious. The soup and a cheese scone is always good for me. On the board are a selection of salads/ lunch dishes that change daily. You will find tasty variations that you won't have tried before - give it a go. Bring the children too, there is a kids option that is reasonably priced - sandwich, cookie and a drink with a packet of crisps. What are you waiting for :-)
Spent a lovely afternoon at the Dawyck Cafe yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious Afternoon Tea. Beautifully presented, fine china (pinkie up!) and such helpful and friendly staff.
The occasion was to celebrate my Mum's 92nd Birthday and she was delighted.
Will definitely be back, and hopefully walk round the gardens too. Thank you
Cafe with epic baking nestled in the Dawyck botanic garden entrance building
I love visiting this cafe 😍 so welcoming and the food is yum!
After walking for 4 hours in the glorious autumn colours of the Botanic Garden I enjoyed a lovely bowl of Lentil Soup and a tasty cheese and spice scone.
