I went into the County today with 5 people including my self we were welcomed so much we went to the bar to be welcomed by aidan who did really well even though he was on the bar his self and it had a good few people in he seemed to cope very well with it always welcomed by aidan with a smile and manners, where as Sam was running about serving tablets when Sam brought our food to the table she was very chatty and cheery both of them had great customer service as always County is one of the best places to go will definitely be back great refurbishment!!
Have nothing but praise for all the wonderful staff working here, on Wednesday we had the pleasure of visiting Peebles whilst on holiday from Sydney, Australia, we had a lovely lunch, severed promptly with a smile, we visited again later in the afternoon, then moved on a stroll around town and to try the local fish and chips, at this point I realised I had lost my wallet, we went back to the inn and my wallet was behind the bar, with all contents intact, this was such a relief as it held cash and cards to cover our holidays, I would personally like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the honest bar staff who found my wallet and kept it safe for me, without them my story would have a very different ending. Thank you so much ��
Decided to try the Sunday lunch today, was so delicious and piping hot, large portion size and gravy and yorkie was divine, thanks so much guys can highly recommend, can’t wait to come back xx

Me and my hubby were in on Saturday afternoon for a couple of drinks and nachos...very enjoyable it was too. Even better was the music that was being played , whoever made up that playlist has good taste in music.Keep it up x
I would highly recommend the hunters chicken it was lush. Great friendly fast service. I would definitely go back and will be recommending it to all my friends

We had prebooked breakfast for after the Crowning on Beltane Saturday When we arrived we were lucky enough to get a table near the door so could see when the Parade was coming along the High Street The food arrived very quickly and was piping hot and nicely presented and delicious Totally happy with service and will definitely be back
Popped in 4 lunch while on our hols. Our little dog Roxy was made welcome (even got a doggy biscuit) food was amazing & the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Cooffees were nice & hot too. Staff friendly & was a very cheap lunch x
We stopped here for lunch yesterday and took advantage of the new look lunch menu which was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive and the wine was good. Hope to visit again soon.
This used to be my local I heard that it was under new management so I thought I would give it another try because it is such a beautiful pub.. I wasn't disappointed what a transformation, food was amazing, service was amazing I had a great evening and I will be returning again, keep up the hard work because my friends and I will keep returning x
Loved it that much been there 3 times this week only place I eat when am in Peebles
Was in peebles yesterday with a large group and the main meals had been preordered so we knew what was available ordered at the bar collected drinks from the bar and went back to the table just sat down and our meals arrived piping hot and really tasty staff where really busy but nothing was to much trouble our group was over 100 and I never heard any complaints will definitely visit again
First time at the county hotel yeterday and couldn't fault it atal. Food was delicious and pipping hot, service was very quick.

Was here on a Saturday night, the music/TV wasn't too loud, people didn't have to shout to talk like in some places, was a nice atmosphere. Tables were clean when we sat down, chairs were comfy.
Food was fresh, hot and tasty, portion size for me was a little small, but I guess with the cost of living this helps keep the prices reasonable.
Staff were friendly and helpful too.
Good Green King pub in the heart of Peebles. Inexpensive beer and food and lots of TVs for live sport.

It had a great atmosphere with plenty of different seating arrangements which gave it an intimate feel .
Great, cosy place for a pint when the weather is dire outside. My husband and I popped in and managed to get 2 very comfy seats at the front of the pub, which was great as it was away from the noisy sports tvs in the main bar. The staff were quick when serving, and the prices of the pints were fair. Would return again.
The best place I have been in ages, lovely staff we were served by reece he was very helpful. We also brought our little dog along too she felt very welcome. The food was great too!!

Lovely interior we really liked the atmosphere,a very polite young girl informed us to order our food at the bar which we did and it arrived about 20 minutes later. It was the tastiest gammon steak I had eaten out in some time it was very tender not one of those cheap tasteless ones. We would definitely go back next time we are in Peebles.

Love the county.they are very friendly happy to help.very dog friendly .piper is a star in county .myself and davy had our engagement in here on Sat 23 July fantastic night .Next day we were asked if they could take a pic make us family of week .and piper was dog of week we were happy to say yes ..
Wow what an amazing welcome from truly genuine manager and bar man . Can not remember last time we had such attentive service. Beautiful place and food awesome ...great quality and huge portions.
I just wish we live local so could visit again.

Not enough staff for the amount of clientele on a local fair evening. Nice venue. Didn't try the food but menu looked good. Would return no problem. Try it. Good Restaurant menu.
Great hotel but food and drink haven’t been served since Covid.
Great little pub so dog friendly.. nice menu selection as well.light bites and a senior's menu. 👍
