We've been quite a few times now, and it's always great ... Lovely food and lovely staff ... Always ask for his recommended wines, just superb! We are new to the area, and it's great to get such a friendly welcome.
So glad to have this Italian in Peebles. Always great service and food, and the wine is fantastic too. Highly recommend the Primitivo.
My bosses ANDREW and Scott Aitken took me there for my 70th birthday, the meal was delicious and the service was outstanding, Franco really knows how to make you feel special, a night to remember, best place in Peebles

Best Italian restaurant I've been to in a long time. My son says it the best pizza he has ever had! Great welcome, brilliant wine, friendly and attentive service. I will be back!

Popped in on what appeared to be a very busy Saturday night. Even though we did not have a booking, the lovely girl who greeted us managed to find us a seat after speaking to the manager. We ordered a house glass of red wine, a large bottle of moretti, 2 pizzas, and a side of chips, which came to just over £40 (great value). All the food was delicious, cooked well, and we really enjoyed it. The house wine is very bitter and not to my liking, so will order a better quality next time. Every staff member we spoke to/engaged with were very friendly and professional. From observation of the general atmosphere restaurant, I would say the manager needs to relax a bit more as he can appear very tense and fraught, resulting in you feeling uneasy as a diner. Overall, a tasty meal and I would return.
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Whenever I come to Peebles we always come to Franco's, recommend any of the pasta or pizza dishes and the specials are always nice. Service was great and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend eating here
Best Pizza we had ever eaten. Always come here every holiday. The pasta we've had at other times and is exceptional. I see other reviews complaining about the owner being rude but he is genuinely such a nice guy and if you book a table over the phone you will have no issues. It's really really busy.

Nice „real“ italian place - Pizza was very good with crisp crust and fresh ingedients. Very friendly server and the owner gave us a table even though we didnt reserve in advance (so I guess thats advisable).
pricing was okay (still expensive to compared to continental Europe but didnt seem overpriced with margeritha starting at 10 pound)
Lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere - the black truffle ice cream and the tiramisu desserts were excellent.
The owner is genuine and lovely, the waitress was knowledgable and great at recommending dishes for us.
This place is fab! The food was perfectly prepared from the tomatoes and the focaccia to the pasta. The wine menu is a breath of fresh air. The owner or manager (I think?!) and his staff were just so friendly and attentive. The view of the river out the window is a bonus too. If you're down this way, do not miss out on popping in here!
The food was nice, the bar staff were lovely and so helpful but soon as we walked in the owner was sat there and was moaning at the bar staff about us been seated, he then continued to stare at us and continued to moan to the bar staff. A other couple came in which there was no room for and the owner had ago at the bar staff again and said just tell then no. I dont need there custom. He was very very rude and made us feel on edge.

Didn't book was a Friday night and the was busy. Was told to come back in 20 mins. Returned 20 mins later greeted with a walm welcome seated straight away. Great food and wine. Lovely Italian
