My daughter and I were excited to visit the re-fitted Cocoa Blacks and we were not disappointed! The new decor and furniture is beautiful, it seems so much spacious now too. I was very happy to have a choice of two vegan cakes- went for the lemon drizzle which was delicious! We’ll be back!

My husband and I had a fantastic time at the truffles and ganache class yesterday afternoon, very relaxed tuition from Ruth, really wasn't expecting the master to teach the class, we were expecting a minion to be teaching the class, the two girl's were also very friendly and laid back great atmosphere I would recommend the class to everyone. Thank you.

First thing my husband and I do when we arrive in Peebles is head to Cocoa Black for tea and cake. The only problem is deciding which cake to have. Normally chocolate can be very rich, but not here, it's to die for. Highly recommend a visit.

Amazing cafe of celebrity chocolatier Ruth Hinks. They have so many different kinds of desserts to try..mouses, cheesecake, tiramisu, cakes, cookies, and many more! The hot chocolate was also superb and the perfect level of sweetness. A must visit if you are a sweet tooth. They also run classes which can be booked, details can be found on website. There's paid parking just near the cafe.

OMG. Where do I start. If you want an extremely scrummy hot chocolate, this is your place. They do a selection of Tea and coffee also. The cakes are to die for. A little pricey, but a perfect treat for sure.

What a fantastic coffee/chocolate shop. We always stop here in Peebles for a cake and a coffee and it never disappoints. The attention to detail on their cakes, the tasty coffee and lovely atmosphere makes this a must go. Main Street parking and then a minute or 2 walk makes it well accessed too. Puts any chain coffee or cake shop to shame!

Delicious cakes and hot chocolates to die for. Be careful though the moose cakes can get sickly real quick. I got a cappuccino cake and my wife got the sticky toffee cake with a hot chocolate. Mmmm Inside is clean and tidy and tables are always cleared quick even if they are busy. Got a good forest view as well to finish it off :)

Did the Summer Patisserie course. Absolutely brilliant. Its fun, you learn and you meet other people plus you take home what you made. What's not to like? Ruth and her staff make you feel welcome and look after you really well.

Had a lovely coffee, and the cakes were fantastic as usual. They are a bit expensive but I think for what you get it is value for money. Decent sized portions and good quality ingredients .

Went for a half day chocolate bar making experience. Ruth was an excellent, informative and fun host and we came away with lots of our delicious and gift boxed chocolate handiwork. Great value and a wonderful setting for a day out. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic selection of hand made pastries and cakes. The ones we had were delicious as was the coffee and the indulgent hot chocolate. About the same price as a Starbucks or Costa overall but in terms of quality this establishment stands out on its own. The carrot cake was the best I have ever tasted. A must try.

We went with someone in our party who has a gluten intolerance, asked if their cakes were gluten free was told they are free of flour but can't say gluten free as they are made in a gluten environment, was also told the cakes with gold stars on them are made without flour and that was a vast assortment of cakes we bought four cakes they looked fantastic and tasted devine. The price was reasonable under £3 for each cake. We will go back.
