Visited the restaurant last night with my partner, the food was stunning. Ordered the steak which was a splendid cut and cooked to perfection, plus the chicken tikka skewers were packed with flavour and plates were plentiful! Staff were extremely attentive nothing was too much trouble. The venue is also dog friendly so he got treats and fuss too. A lovely experience thank you.

Popped in for a coffee and cake after a dog walk. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, settled us and our filthy dogs in a quiet spot where our nervous one was chilled, and were so friendly to us and the dogs that it made a lasting impression. Not just good service, these are genuinely lovely people who like engaging with other people and doing their best for you, and it shines through. I asked if they had cake which they were very apologetic about not doing. But they did have puddings... WOW, did they have puddings! These were to die for. The picture says more than my words could. We will be back for food next time we are in this part of the country without doubt.

Here on holiday and found this smashing place by chance as they accept dogs. The 2 lovely ladies who serve you were so nice made us feel so welcome, dogs given their own water and we were moved to a large table in the bar where we could all sit comfortably. The food was exceptional, sticky belly pork to start which was so delicious followed by steak in their home made bread accompanied by yummy chips. Just wish we had found them at the start of our holiday not so near the end!!! Couldn’t fault anything, a rare example of hospitality at its best.

First visit this year to our favourite local restaurant, and once again they delivered in style. Steaks were generous and cooked to perfection, with a very nice pink peppercorn sauce. Chicken skewers were accompanied with a fruity curry sauce, and the cilantro chicken was tasty, with a refreshing avocado and mango salsa. Only one of us had space for dessert, Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was so light, smothered with a caramel sauce. Cant wait until our return in August.

My folks have been going here for years and literally never stop talking about it and having finally been I can see why. The staff were attentive, engaging, chatty and even remembered who ordered what after we decided to move places after ordering, attention to detail like that is a good thing and made me feel valued as a customer. The food is absolutely exceptional !!! I'm very fussy about Lamb but I took the plunge and ordered it. When it came there was enough to make me feel full yet not enough to leave without dessert, was this some sort of marketing tactic ? 😜🤔 The lamb literally fell apart in my mouth and was cooked perfectly along with the vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. I do love my mint sauce which was the crowning glory for my main 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Desert was just as good as the main their cheese cake has to be 1 of the best I've tasted and left me satisfied and full after what I would say was a great dining experience. The atmosphere itself was busy homely family run Inn/Pub feel that had been elevated with the inclusion of being well dressed and light in a very nice way. Staff 10/10, was a lovely day with the family and was made better by the location, food and people. Would highly recommend and sadly can only give 5 stars 👍

Great atmosphere with tasty food and decent portions. However, beware, this is not a "country pub", its menu is very generic (burger, chicken curry, fish & chips, Caesar salad) and the prices rival London. No local beers.

What a fantastic find on our most recent visit to Berwickshire! A warm welcome; friendly, attentive service; a menu filled with tempting descriptions of dishes; absolutely delicious food served in generous portions; set in a traditional rural setting, with complimentary and carefully incorporated contemporary design details; and a very cool soundtrack generating positive and relaxing vibes in the background. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re up in the area! My one piece of advice - make sure you leave space for pudding - absolutely not to be missed! We had three generations dining, and everyone enjoyed their meals, which included katsu chicken burgers, homemade cod and chips, sweet potato vegetable curry, fish goujons from the children’s menu, sticky toffee pudding, and chocolate, nut toffee tart.
