We loved our stay here! The location is great - right across from a beautiful field with a walking path. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds. The star is the restaurant though. The service was incredible - Peter took every effort to make sure everything was perfect. The space is warm and inviting with a wood burning stove and great decorations. The food was exceptional. We went with the beef Wellington but wanted to order everything on the menu. We highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to come back.
The best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Well worth the drive from Bournemouth. Great value for money as well the chef and staff were superb. Absolutely fab
We’ve been meaning to get here for ages and finally managed lunch. All I can say is: great food (the pie pastry was good enough on its own, yet filled with deliciousness, and I had no idea you could curry pumpkin and lentils and make something that I as a meat lover would swap.
Great staff, great service, great food.
Amazing food and atmosphere, really lovely pub. It was absolutely packed on Easter Saturday and the food was exceptional, loved the pork t-bone
Utterly superb food, well thought out, well balanced flavours and served hot and quickly! In addition though, the staff are wonderfully attentive and there's a great vibe dining here. Excellent value too! Thoroughly recommend!

The Churchill Arms was a lovely dog friendly pub where we used to eat. I have just been told that it is no longer dog friendly what a pity. We will have to use the other dog friendly pubs in the Cotswolds there are many. This amazes me as the owner Nick brings his dog Rocco to the pub.
Perfect overnight stay, room, dinner, breakfast and breakfast excellent. Will be back without doubt ! Cannot recommend enough for special occasion or relaxing stay.
This is a gem of a place nestled in an idyllic countryside village with acres of fields to walk the dogs and then stroll on in for the most amazing food i have ever tasted. The chef is amazing and the front of house - charming and charismatic. This was an hour drive from where we live and worth every mile driven! We have booked to come back for Mother's Day so our mums can enjoy this charm and mouth watering food on offer. Hats off to you this place is a firm favourite with us
What a fantastic meal. We found the restaurant by chance a what a find. The staff were absolutely brilliant and really made you feel at ease. You must visit this place ,
Had a fantastic meal, a lovely little pub hidden away in a stunning little Cotswold village.
Amazing family lunch here today. Staff so attentive and food and service amazing.
Highly recommend this little gem.
Absolutely loved this place. A quaint village setting (like a movie) Cosy atmosphere. Staff were so attentive and the steak was genuinely the best I've ever tasted. Cannot recommend highly enough
Back home after a fabulous few days away with my husband, Clive. If we could give more than 5 stars we would! On arrival was greeted by Nick and his fantastic staff, lovely comfortable room (slept the best I've done in a long time, truly relaxing!), wonderful picturesque central location to explore the area (if you can take time to visit The Cotswold Distillery) and then back to The Churchill Arms to relax and chat to the friendly locals before sitting down to fabulous food cooked by Nick himself, a real treat. O, and not forgetting the scrumptious breakfast - enough to set you up for the day! Looking forward already to our next stay in October - see you then guys - Clive and Adele
Amazing place - food is superb and staff couldn’t be nicer 👍🏼😊
They fitted us in last minute due to change of plans for my husband’s birthday. The food and service was amazing - we particularly enjoyed the beef ravioli on the beef fillet main dish... delicious!!! We will certainly be returning!
Visited today for lunch with my partner, absolutely delicious food, fantastic service and swift. Above all else it's dog friendly so would get 5 stars no matter what! Thank you very much for accommodating us at short notice, we will definitely be back and I will be recommending to friends, family and clients! Thank you again, John, Tom and Molly
I had the pork t bone and it is one of the fantastic one I had in Cotswold. Very tasty and the steak is well cooked and tender. My partner had a fish fillet which was very delicious and not too salty and not too moist. The fish is very well cooked and use a lot of love to cook such on point dish. However, I feel the sides are too salty and too overdose for my liking and it could be my Asian taste bud that I prefer simpler food and not too overdose of favour. I definitely will come back again in july for another meal with u guys ! 😊
Fantastic restaurant, food was amazing, the beef Wellington was incredible, the pea risotto sublime. The chef is clearly very talented creating a menu from local ingredients to such a hugh standard. The venue is a traditional English pub in a tiny village, the service was good if a little brisk. We took the early sitting, in hindsight we should have taken the later one to enable us to enjoy our time here. Overall highly recommended and we will all remember the high quality food.
Excellent food and great service! The garden has well spaced tables and a covering so you can still enjoy on a rainy day. The Sunday roast was absolutely delicious and very well presented, great portions for the price.

Finally! A pub that doesn't just serve the bland basics when it comes to UK food! I can't begin to explain how good the food is here and the interesting menu. The pub looks the part with a modern twist and great outdoor area with a small play area in the next field to keep kids busy and the service was top notch for post covid. The food was fantastic and will certainly be going back. Thank you Churchill Arms for giving me hope in British cuisine. Great job!!
Wow, what a lunch! We were recommended to this place by two separate shopkeepers in Stow-on-the-Wold so we had to give it a try. It certainly delivered. We ordered the fish and chips and the Cotswold fillet of beef with gnocchi and mushrooms. Both plates of food were truly excellent. The fish was crispy and light and the chips were golden on the outside and beautifully fluffy inside. The fillet was expertly cooked and in a delicious sauce that brought the entire dish together with the gnocchi and mushroom garnish. Service was attentive and friendly and the prices were great. Highly recommend.
Absolutely first class ! We had a sumptuous lunch at the start of a family trip to the Cotswolds and it was one of the highlights of our weekend break. The food was superb and the service from manager Ed and his team was attentive, friendly and good-humoured. We felt like old friends rather than guests. Prices are restaurant/gastropub end of the spectrum but well worth it. If you want a special meal out or just to treat yourself in this part of the Cotswolds, would highly recommend.
Fantastic meal and service, such a lovely evening.
We visited the Churchill Arms this evening and had such a wonderful experience, I felt compelled to write a review (people can be so quick to complain but less so to compliment).
From the moment we were greeted and completed the entry requirements (including a great minty hand sanitiser) we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. We ordered drinks and sat inside, but as the evening was lovely, we changed to an outside table.
The service throughout the evening was exemplary, attentive but not over bearing, and the food was superb. From the complimentary arancini to the crab rarebit and the sea trout, everything was delicious, seasonal and treated with such respect (even the vegetables!)
I’d highly recommend a visit and we will certainly be back very soon. Thank you to all the team both front and back of house for such a fantastic evening.
Absolutely lovely food and service. Our waiter (Harry) was an absolute legend and his knowledge and description of each dish and drink was exceptional. Skill far beyond his years. If I was a little wealthier myself it would have been a pleasure to leave a bigger tip. Quality delicious traditional English food.
Popped in here for a pint and snacks on a walk. It is not cheap but it is very good. Nice inside and out with excellent food on the menu - even the snacks were a cut above. Very welcoming and efficient staff. Had I planned my trip better I would have gone there for dinner. It really is a lovely place to visit.
Absolutely outstanding food. The soufflé was out of this world it really was special and how good was the beef roast! Even the carrots were soooo tasty , and trust me carrots ate not my favourite usually. The Sticky Toffee pudding, I am still dreaming about, and we also had the honour of meeting Nick, Emma & Raffy which topped the experience for us
Great buzzing atmosphere and fabulous food 👌 what more can you ask for
(Also pet friendly and the staff made sure Our dog was watered and happy)
