Second visit to The Green Man, first was many years ago, and it was as good as I remembered.
Staff were very attentive, and looked after our table of 4 very well (even sharing one of their secret recipes).
Everything we had to eat was delicious, and we all left nicely satisfied.
Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.
Delicious food. The Pork stroganoff was like a big autumnal hug on a plate and the chicken stuffed with mango with a raspberry jus was amazing. The puddings were worth visiting for alone.
Lovely location with good food. I had been wanting to come here for years having seen their fish based menu from afar and finally made the effort to visit from the US! The scallops were well cooked and the waitress was very kind and attentive, I would definitely recommend this place if you want something a bit elevated from your usual gastropub.
Very accommodating as we had a dog. Food was excellent, the staff made the meal even better
Well after my daughter waxing lyrical about how good the Green Man was, I was dubious. However I'm delighted to report that she was absolutely right. The staff were very good and the meal was out of this world. I hope to visit again soon ☺️
Always a pleasure eating here, had relaxing lunch in the garden, food was amazing and there is a nice selection of wines to choose from. Looking forward to returning soon.

Always had wonderful meals at the Green Man. The bar is well stocked - I enjoyed the alcohol free espresso martini and a pint of Camden Hells which was lovely, crisp and cool! Bottle of Malbec was very smooth. Food was usual high standards and enjoyed every mouthful. We ate with friends and had a table in the bar as we had our pooch with us. Service great as ever and a perfect evening out. Our only wish is the Green Man relocates to Roffey - we would be there all the time if it was nearer home! Thanks for a lovely evening!
We popped by after seeing the amazing reviews of the roast dinners and we were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious and brilliant portions too (and I admit to being very picky about roasts!) All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming and while we were only visiting the area, it was clear there were a lot of regulars but they were just as friendly to everyone.
The garden was a lovely spot to enjoy our food in and it was ready with big umbrellas which was needed on such a hot day. While we were lucky to nab a table, there were quite a few pre-booked so worth keeping in mind for popular periods. Very happy to recommend here and would definitely pop by if we're in the area again!
Enjoyed delicious fish dishes here in the peaceful garden. The Turbot and the scallops were absolutely beautiful. These people know how to cook fish. Lots of choice on the menu, great variety & excellent specials. Highly recommend.
