We went for a meal here when visiting the area. Very good pub food, huge portions. Lovely staff and good service. It's definitely worth a visit. Can't comment on the rooms as we did not stay there, and I can't really comment on the location as we were driven there by friends and it was dark, but the whole area is stunning in daylight!
Visited whilst on holiday at Whitemead Forest Park nearby. Excellent range of beers, wines, lagers and soft drinks. Lovely meal out with extended family. Mid range cost. Not currently open on Tuesdays (as of Aug'23). Great atmosphere. Recommended 👍 🤠

Large group went for Sunday dinner and it was gorgeous. Hot day and being sat in the conservatory part out the back was a little sweaty! Staff were welcoming and helpful, lovely place and food was hot and delicious. My only little gripe is the roast potatoes, they aren't roasts which was disappointing.
Brilliant service and fabulous food. Nothing to much trouble. Really hospitable friendly and warm atmosphere. Will go again.
Cracking place for a pint and a roast. Lovely pub, a lot bigger than it looks with a great pint of Otter ale on tap. The Sunday roast was extra good, and the cuts of turkey were utterly tremendous. Not often is turkey this moist and succulent. All the staff were wonderful, and the whole place was well kept and clean as a whistle. Good show!
Good Sunday lunchtime meal here. Good sized portions well cooked and reasonable value. Expect 2 course meal £25-28 a head with a soft drink. We will return
Stayed near the Whitemead Park End site for a couple days and researched online the most local pub. This seemed to be the closest and was only a 6 minute walk (felt like 3 mins). Indoor decor was lovely and open. We both ordered a Sunday roast and got the pork option. Sometimes they have the option to choose “meat of the day” as the meat. The roasts were only £15 each and the pork option has the additional crackling to eat. Food was presented lonely and tasted great. The drinks were quite cheap as well compared to other pubs. Drink were quite cheap too as well! The staff were very polite as well and made sure services was quick ! 😊
Came here for the last meal of our holiday and was not surprised to have amazing service, with lovely kind staff and an incredible environment much like the other places we have visited here, as this area is lovely and so are the locals. The food here was very high quality and the service was relatively fast, the staff were friendly and talkative and overall this led to a very memorable experience and a great note to end our holiday on. Would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
Didn’t stay at the Inn but had food here two nights and both times it was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful surroundings and lovely helpful staff and it’s Dog friendly, couldn’t recommend highly enough! Thank you 🙏
Didn't stay here not sure if you can but came here for food and drink and the food is lovely especially the burgers. Service was very good too. Definitely recommend this place. Very nice pub restaurant aswell with seating outside to the side front and back set in a lovely area.
We came for an early lunch after having walked around RSPB Nagshead, so we were quite famished. We had the fish and chips, which was excellent, really big portions, fresh and tasty and lovely location. The staff were so friendly and attentive too. The tables outside were all taken, so if we go back, we'd probably try and find a spot outside.
We only went here for a meal. We turned up without a booking, looking for meals for 4 adults and 3 children. There was no issue, and the meals were a good size and great value. Will call again
Dropped in on a Friday night for drinks after MTB riding in FOD - they accommodated a dozen of us at a reserved table and let us know when we would need to move off of it. We had time to eat (scampi and chips, fish and chips) which was great! Staff were friendly and fun, having a bit of a laugh with us.
Definitely recommend.

We came to eat here on our 1st day of our holiday at the Whitemede site. We were greatly pleasantly surprised to hear afro beats playing lightly in the background... My daughter was really impressed by that as was I. 😀
The pub has many spaces in which to eat/drink. The main pub area is lovely, a country feel with an updated/modern touch. Then there are various spaces at the back of the pub, including picnic tables in the large garden area. They have a fine dining section, again towards the rear of the main building . A lot of thought has gone into the decor and the range of services they are able to offer.
The service offered by the owner and his staff was excellent. Friendly without being intrusive and attentive. The presentation of the food was 2nd to none. Expect to spend £20 per head for a meal and a pint, which is very reasonable, particularly for such a nice venue with a gastro pub vibe menu and spaces to eat at rear. Will defo be here again to eat and chill when I come next time.
Great pub on the BMX trail - really nice beers in a sun trap garden. Food was tasty (standard pub grub), with Dexter Burger and Pie both good. The staff were lovely and went to pick some mint / herbs to fix a nice off menu drink for us when asked. Lovely place.
