Just back from a 5 star meal at the Windmill with my husband. Beautiful food, lovely cosy atmosphere and great staff. Takes a lot to impress me, but I'm sold!!! Will definitely return and highly recommend.
Dior dog, mum and myself have just had a lovely meal here today. The manager was friendly (think Dior dog rather liked him) the ladies serving were fabulous and the food was gorgeous !!! If I could have given 10/10 I would have done !!!! Worth the drive will be returning !!!!
Would have rated this wonderful pub and restaurant as 100 stars out of a 100 if that were possible! Fabulous place, fabulous food, fabulous staff, fabulous serice, fabulous ambience and I can recommend it highly to all. Faultless, flawless service with a smile, never disappoints, consistently fabulous and yummy food, best place to eat and drink for miles around. 100 stars out of 5 and more on top! The pub and restaurant is a real credit to those who run it and work in it. Love it, you rock! Hard to beat. Thanks for your second to none first class world class service Love & Hugs Kaz XX
The best steak and the best meal Ive had in a restaurant in years! Gorgeous food! Lovely staff! Cant wait for the next time!
Had a wonderful lunch. . Will return too . . The waitress couldn't do enough for us . . You won't be disappointed!
Great service after a bad day when a much needed drink and food were in order. The manager was professional and kind, the food tasty and hpme cooked, served promptly with a bottle of prosecco cheered us up a treat!
A lovely meal but too much pepper!. Lovely village pub, well presented internally clean and with attentive staff.
Had a roast Sunday lunch there today with my mum. Was a lovely meal but was spoiled by a gravy over seasoned with pepper and over cooked meats.
But the mushroom soup starter was lovely, the chocolate mousse dessert was divine and the veggies/roasties etc were fabulous.
Shame, we did bring this to the waitresses attention but were not offered any recompense.I would eat here again but choose another type of meal.
Great honest pub grub at a way higher standard than most pubs. Very friendly and welcoming service. Will be back on my next visit to Parbold.
This is a gem of a place really enjoyed our visit the food and the service we had.
It's called the Windmill likely as it's next to what was an old mill now used as a gallery.
They have a small car park to the side and rear and parking is not really big enough for the venue.
The building is deceptive and they have a good amount of tables inside.
They do have a few tables outside which would be ok in the summer.
They have a great menu and a specials board, the three in our party all had different meals and all were excellent.
The waitress was very attentive and they made a small modification to one of the set meals on the menu as one item wasn't to the persons taste, it appeared to be no issue.
Would love to return and try some of the other items on the menu.
If you are close make it a stop for food.
Absolutely delicious food. We had the beef Sunday roast, the duck roast and the bakewell and raspberry tart.
Dog friendly, so we sat in the dog friendly area, which is this cosy small room which had a 6 seater, 4 seater and 2 seater table.
Staff were friendly however minor tweaks could be made, such as; reading the specials to customers instead of directing them to the board; checking on how customers are enjoying their food; checking if customers want more drinks.
We had a great time though and will definitely be back. It's right next to the canal as well so perfect for a walk afterwards.
Opted to eat here on a Saturday night and booked a table in person when it was quiet. A villager advised us this was the slightly posher pub in the village. Arrived to find a very busy bar with a good local atmosphere and a restaurant area The meals we ordered were good although served very quickly, perhaps to avoid us being delayed by the very large party next to us.. For a Saturday evening we were in and out within 45 minutes and didn't feel the atmosphere inviting to stay for a second drink. We did return on Sunday evening when it was much quieter for a quiet pint.
My wife and I came up from Dorset to catch up with family whom we haven’t seen for some time, We were a party of eight last Friday for dinner and had a wonderful time at the windmill we found the service to be excellent and reasonably quick, we all enjoyed our meals and were of a really good size. The atmosphere in the pub was really nice and relaxed, and the there is a really good selection of real ales. Would highly recommend and thank you for the Hobgoblin Glass.
We had a lovely meal here. The food was very high quality. Also the staff were super helpful when dealing with my wife’s dietary requirements. We will definitely be going back soon.
My Mother-in law, my wife and I, thoroughly enjoyed our different meals and the service. The food was so delicious, we decided to book a table for the family on Christmas Day. Edmund was a pleasant host.
Many thanks
Highly recommend. Amazing food, friendly staff.
Always a lovely time here, cosy, and very welcoming to our dog. Only issue is there's not a lot of places to sit if you just want to pop by for a couple drinks, but you can always get a table on a quiet night or book on a busy one.
Just enjoyed another wonderful evening at The Windmill. The menu has recently been updated and it’s even better! We generally are a group of vegetarians/vegans and there is a great selection to choose from. Staff are always welcoming & friendly. Brilliant 🤩 well done!
