Barshaw Park was very nice and peaceful, it was plesent to sit in the Peace Garden which is at the top corner of the hill and chill out and then have a bite to eat in the Cafe to finish the day.

Surprisingly good food and drink (homemade soup, especially good), and lots of space for buggies, etc. The cleanliness of the floor in the eating area suffers rather from it being so family friendly, but the kitchen looks clean and it is good value for money. The opening hours are not terribly fixed - when we went in after five and asked when they shut they didn't know(!) and remained open after we were done.

We've been several times and have had very nice interactions with staff. We usually get toasties, soup, and ice cream and it's of a decent quality.

Lovely coffee but I don't think they could supply it in a smaller cup, just a bit expensive.
