Royal Oak - Painswick - Photo album

Eminent place to enjoy a genuine old publican/free house. 10+ different beers and ciders on the tap, both local and import. A very serious selection of wines and drinks. None mention, none forgotten 😜 The absolutely most friendly staff and patrons. Friendly locals and a homely atmosphere. Came back
My wife and I visited for Sunday roast. Walk-ins only, no booking. The place was full, but the next available table was quickly cleared and cleaned for us. We only waited 5 minutes. The menu is on the wall, order at the bar. Service was prompt. Roast lamb was excellent, and portions were generous. D
The Oak is a lovely pub which has both indoor and outdoor seating, is dog friendly, serves great food and offers amazing service. The man who served us the two nights we stayed in Painswick was super helpful and friendly. I can highly recommend the fish and chips. The reason for the four stars and
Loved the food, had the mushroom risotto, it was tasty, with lots of mushrooms, generous portion and hot as it should be, I was hesitant when ordering, since it’s not traditional pub food, but I worried for nothing, it was delicious. Also had very the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever had. I wish
Beautiful local pub, the only one in town so you don’t have much choice, but the hosts are lovely and welcoming. The food was great, we had the burgers and two pints.
Nice pub, pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, nice place to spend an evening in the heart of the Cotswold
Cozy friendly Local What a warm and cozy pub full of locals , dogs welcome , great food and great staff , would definitely visit again , very enjoyable
Super cozy. Excellent food. Excellent staff. A shout out to Kate for doing an amazing job. Great location. Easy to walk to. Will do again.
My husband and I loved this place so much we came for lunch and dinner. We were walking The Cotswolds Way and this was our favorite restaurant. The staff are incredibly nice and the pub has a local, welcoming atmosphere (kids, dogs etc.) My quinoa salad was so good that I wanted to walk back the nex
Friendly staff and decent pub grub. They have WiFi as there is no phone signal. Food service was slow paced, but otherwise good. They are dog friendly.
Very nice and friendly pub. We went fir dinner amd everything that we ordered was delicious. Home made burger and chips were very good, the stake was good with a very generous portion of chips also the cesar salad was delicious.
Nice little pub. Friendly service
We only popped in here for a couple of drinks half way through a walk but we instantly felt very welcome. We sat in the clean and cosy courtyard with our pooches, the staff were very friendly and I very much enjoyed the local ales on offer.
Dropped in on Sunday afternoon with muddy boots and a dog. Lovely pub, friendly staff, and possibly the best roast beef lunch I can ever remember. Fresh, nicely cooked veg and a side of cauliflower cheese. Splendid
Good small pub in the heart of Painswick, currently table only service & lacking a bit of atmosphere due to current restrictions. Friendly bar man & spotlessly clean. Also dog friendly which isna great plus.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The food was great as well, would go back if we're in the area again.
A great local pub, clearly a regular spot for many with a friendly, relaxed feel - a welcoming and attentive proprietor, small outdoor area for those sunny days - enjoyable!
