Lovely staff and Owner. Food is nice and not expensive. We booked the pool room and spent a fantastic time there. Painswick is a quiet and fabulous village. Definitely recommend a rococo gardens to visit, even wintertime.
The restaurant is run by a nice couple. Nice, homey, fresh food. The tomato soup was excellent.
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room felt warm and cosy. Restaurant was closed in the evening we stayed but this was not an issue at all as we planned to go into cheltenham for the afternoon which is only a 25 mins drive. Breakfast was average. Would not recommend the sausages. Wife had the che
Quirky, unique guest house. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast and evening meals. Would definitely recommend. We are saving up for our next visit!
Never expected international fine cuisine in the Cotswolds. Excellent food in a cozy corner. Step outside for a romantic after dinner stroll. Phone ahead or pop in a day ahead especially in high times. Especially since there are few alternatives.
What a lovely little Gem of a Bistro we found, just how restaurants used to be, lacy table cloths real napkins not just paper ones, and a great atmosphere The lady who did the waitressing who along with the Chef are Rumanian, are lovely and so mindful that everything is perfect for you, even the che
What a special place! The attic room is gorgeous and quite spacious for the 4 of us. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the bistro and food was great. Breakfast portion was big. Booked to stay in the pool room for 2 nights and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious the room actually was. The room is located round the back of the b&b giving it its own privacy which is a lovely added touch. We ate breakfast and dinner here when staying and have to say that the food and st
Only had dinner while staying at a local b&b. Food is excellent! Rely on the blackboard with day specials: produce is fresh and locally sourced as much as possible, so ask for recommendations. If you are a meat eater, you'll have a lot of variety: we chose among wild boar, locally grown lamb, veal,
The Bistro is a very good eating place. Superb food at a good price, attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere all right in the centre of Painswick. Definitely recommended, this is a venue worth travelling to. Count yourself lucky if you are local.
I took my family of six for Sunday lunch today when Painswick was heaving with visitors to the Art Festival and we enjoyed a well cooked and enjoyable meal with the bonus of four low passes by a WW2 Dakota. The staff were very attentive and helpful complimenting the quality of our meal supplemented
Very cosy and fitting room that compliments the age of the building and town very well. Peniswick is a beautiful town with stunning views and some lovely walks, very accessible and a great base to visit the rest of the cotswolds. Parking was a little tricky but we found the local town car-park was v
Excellent. Friendly, welcoming, very well presented. As for the food, one of the best meals I've had. Very surprised at such a low price for the standard. Wish it was in my village. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be eating here. A big thankyou. To the Cardinham.
I stayed at Cardynham House over the late May bank holiday weekend. It's in a very picturesque area of the Cotswolds (Painswick) with a myriad of local surrounding activities and sights to see. The hotel it's self is excellent and quintessential Cotswolds - beams, natural brick walls. The staff were
Nice hotel in the period building - not the height of luxury, however I would recommend this place based on location and value for money. The owner are very friendly and welcome which is a big plus. Painswick, also dubbed as the 'Queen of the Cotswolds', is a magnificient village definitely worth a
Very nice restaurant in Painswick, excellent food, we had the chateau and rib eye steaks, cooked rare very good, excellent choice of mains, nice ambience, you won't be disappointed. Large potions with pudding, left stuffed and we'll fed
Lovely quaint hotel set in a traditional mid-century English village. Room had everything we needed, breakfast superb and as a bonus, I managed to park outside the guesthouse.
Lovely place to stay, parking made available nearby. Restaurant is top drawer. Great choices, brilliantly cooked and served. Recommended.
