We booked a table here for our last night on a short break away. What a beautiful place this is. Everything is spotless and so incredibly well layed out. This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. The views from all the windows from inside are superb. but due to excellent weather, we opted to sit outside.
The staff are smart. helpful, but also so very friendly.
The food was delicious and beautifully cooked. My good lady had steak, and I decided on the old classic Scampi and chips.
Both meals exceeded or expectations..
We didn't drink much here, but I was very surprised that considering how nice this place is, the alcohol price was much the same as my local.

First visit to Harbour Light for my husband and I last night and what a pleasure.
Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Much bigger that it looks from the outside and nice decor and ambiance.
We had mussels and arancini to start followed by chicken supreme and hake. Everything was perfect, absolutely delicious and plenty of it we didn’t have any room for dessert.
Wish I’d got our waiters name so I could mention him on here as he went above and beyond, so helpful.
Well done to the management excellent experience from start to finish and we will definitely return and recommend 🤩
A really nice restaurant in an awesome location. This place is huge but the decor and attention to detail is really well done. They gave large seating areas inside plus a large open are at the harbour side, best of all us a terrace with views across the bay to Torquay on one side and views of the harbour on the other side. The food was good and prices reasonable. Highly recommended

Absolutely beautiful place, you must visit if you're in the area. We have actually visited twice in one day. We have had lunch and dinner later during the day. We haven't pre book lunch, just turned up after arriving in Paignton. We have had lovely coffee along with some local beers and then chicken wraps and fish fingers rolls, everything was freshly made and delicious! We have sit outside and enjoyed the view, it's just outside the harbour. They're doing table service so you don't need to move much :)
We have also had dinner which I have pre-booked on the day before and I'm happy I did because restaurant was absolutely packed! Dinner was lovely, everything perfectly cooked, generous portions and super polite staff who served us. Nothing was too much trouble. We have moved tables after dinner and changed from inside to outside patio table and our lovely waitress Catherine moved our bill into new table without any trouble. She have also offered me blanket when it got chilly in the evening. Absolutely fantastic service, everyone were so lovely. Place is also stunning. Beautiful decor and furniture inside and outside, plenty of flowers etc. Very happy I've found this and hope we will be coming back
The terrace is the place to go! Excellent views and outdoor space for drinks on a warm day. Inside looks great and the menu makes me want to go for dinner! Reasonably priced to!
We had a really great experience for our dinner out. Food and service are above average. Must be amazing on a sunny day!
Harbour Light restaurant in Paignton is a true gem! I had the pleasure of dining there recently and was blown away by the excellent service provided by Catherine and Lauren. Their warm and attentive care made the evening even more special. The food, prepared by Will and the talented kitchen team, was absolutely delicious. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece that left me craving for more. I can't recommend this restaurant enough – a 5-star experience in every way!
Had a wonderful roasted chicken supreme at Harbour Light. It was cooked perfectly and service brilliant. The staff I spoke to were so friendly and welcoming and made it a very enjoyable experience. Also had lunch there couple days later and Steak & Frites was again cooked perfectly with same friendly welcome although different staff. Would definitely recommend eating here as both my experiences were wonderful. A big thank you to all the lovely staff.
Perfect evening. The food was amazing. The staff couldn't have done more for us. They were all really upbeat and happy. They made us feel so welcome. I think we will be coming here every time we are in Paignton now
We had a lovely meal here. Our waiter was called Obed and he was fantastic, a real asset to this establishment. Genuine hospitality and friendly service. We had the seafood sharing board as a main and it was delicious, plenty for the two of us with a few glasses of wine alongside. We have been a few times before, but we will definitely be back! Thankyou for a lovely evening.
