Stein's Fish & Chips - Padstow - Photo album

Lovely fish and chips. Nice dining area. Toilets were far from up to scratch. Dirty. Littered with toilet paper, dirty paper towels. Not up the standard you would expect from one of Rick Steins establishments. A far cry from his cafe where we had a truly memorable evening with stunning food in gorge
Lovely stop for Lunch, family group of 7 cycling along the Camel Trail came into Padstow hungry and thirsty. Wasn't planning of visiting Rick Steins chippy but I was pleasantly surprised to find prices reasonable and the chips very tasty and we could get a cold Peroni to wash down lunch. Sat on a be
We cycled here from Wadebridge and couldn't wait to try the fish + chips. We were not disappointed, the beef dripping that they use makes the food taste delicious. A little pricey but something you need to try at least once. 2x fish and 2x chips £31.
Good atmosphere, and service was great, shame the food was not that great, I have had better at my local chippy. I ordered the cod and chips and the curry sauce. The sauce was horrible and very bitty. I also ordered the salt and pepper Prawns, they were nice.
I am not, I repeat NOT a fish food enthusiast. In Fact I only eat canned tuna... As I don't like bones or the chance of bones, in fish. I am however happy to try, and join in with family meals... 3 adults 1 child, 2 fish and chips, a kids sausage and chips and I went for a chilli fish burger and c
We love this fish and chips. We are not from the area. We went here after we rode ours bikes for 5 miles . We were starving. I am not a big fan of the crispy part of the fried fish, but my partner took fried cod and I had grilled hake. I liked my hake but when my partner made me try a piece of his
We decided to get take out and it was amazing! I can definitely recommend the Lemon Sole, it was delicious! The best fish and chips ever!
Good quality! Excellent food. Highly recommend for a fish & chips.
Lovely variety of staple chip shop dining in items available. Although all real, fresh food the chips got a bit stodgy as they cooled so I had to leave quite a lot. Lovely flaky cod though.
Lovely food and great service. Not as posh as the one down in Sandbanks but very good all the same.
Went with no expectations deffo worth a visit. Batter is very light, not stodgy. Price as expected but as a one off it was worth it. We went after lunchtime and ate in. The queue was approx 5 to 10 mins. Service was excellent.
We spent a week in padstow and ate both options eat in and take away..we ate round back when we had take away there were a few picnic tables . Both times the fish was very good crispy batter and chips were nice. My only gripe is 2 quid for a tiny tub of tarter sauce come on Rick first time I've been
Fish and chips after a cycle ride from Wadebridge. What's not to like? My only observation was a slight lack of personality ironically. I suppose you want to feel the Rick Stein touch a bit more somehow but the staff we're friendly and the service was attentive. Was busy and the food was good.
