What a wonderful spot - right on the harbour. We went for the traditional Cornish pasty, and it did not disappoint. We were just after a snack and bought one large one to share - was lovely. They also have some different options to tempt you back to try them all, the cheese and leak one is on my list next. There are some benches across the road to tuck in and watch the world (and boats) go by.
Absolutely amazing staff, they even spoke to our little girl in the buggy. We had two slices of cake which were very generous size wise, and my husband had his first fresh Cornish pasty which he now highly rates. Would highly recommend
This family-run bakery has been trading for 40 years.
The best traditional pasties in Padstow. They have won many awards for them.
Our favourites are cheese/leek & onion & steak & blue cheese. Their lamb & mint are also very good.
They also offer a mail order service of nationwide delivery of frozen pasty boxes.
They sell a variety of cakes & pastries plus local produce.
Well worth a visit.
Amazing bakery and when we are in a padstow we make sure it is one of our first stops! They sell a mixture of pasties and cakes and even some local cornish produce. We are not leaving without a pasty though and our favorite is the steak and blue cheese. They have other flavours and I don't think you'd be disappointed with any of them! They do a delivery service of frozen pasties which we have used once of twice!
They are always super friendly and have time for a chat no matter how busy they are. Definitely worth a visit.
Simply the best pasty for miles. This is on par with Ivor Dewdneys pasty and to be honest,it brought back childhood memories of living in Saltash. Balance of meat and veg is perfect. Pastry is firm, delicious and crusty. Overall, it is the best traditional pasty I have had in years
Beautiful pasties! Fresh, tasty and lots of fillings! I had the Mediterranean vegetable pasty and my other half had the cheese and onion! Delicious!
Friendly staff. Cakes and Pasties were great, and even made a top notch coffee. Have to say it's pretty expensive though, but so is everything these days.
Visited the Chough Bakery today and had an amazing buttery crust cheese onion and leek pastie.
Staff were extremely nice and patient with my autistic kid as he was making his choices even though the shop was extremely busy.
Would highly recommend.
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!!!!
That was my reaction 7 years ago when I first tried the best pasty ever created, and that was the reaction I had on this year's trip to Cornwall too ❤️
We have come 5 years on the bounce with my mother in law, I always make a point of coming in to Padstow to get my laughing gear around the best food ever made by the human hand. Pastry is crisp and golden, filling is flavoursome and of high quality, the meat is cooked to perfection and the whole thing is scrumptious from 1st to last bite. I even search my top and lap for crumbs!
My idea of a balanced diet is a chogh pasty in each hand 😜 I could eat the entire days batch alone. And I would, I'd drive the 5 hours just to get a nibble, the outright best. And... Believe me I have tried nearly all of them, this is the undisputable champ! Well done them, the 2016 award needs updating, it should be champion yearly. ❤️
Nice bakery that makes great bread and Cornish pastry. Take note, it's a bakery, not a cafe, so there's no seating.
Amazing produce. We had breakfast baps from Chough's while on a short 3 day trip. Delicious. Scones, bakes and bread all top notch. Incredibly friendly people. Highly recommended 👌
Lovely pasty - even choice for us veggie people which was very much appreciated.
The pastry was a little thin which we actually preferred- just haven't expected. The filling was tasty.
Best Cornish pasty’s I’ve tried. Lovely bakery in the heart of Padstow. Friendly staff, quick service and amazing choice of cakes and pastries. Reasonable prices.
Lovely sausage bap, and great coffee. We went early in the morning so there were no queues, but even at lunchtime it was well organised to cope with the large queues.
A family run bakery over 30 years old offering traditionally made pasties. Their flavours include Steak, Cheese, Onion & Leek and Chicken, Bacon and Leek. The sausage rolls are pretty scrummy too. Sit outside and enjoy your pasty with views of the harbour.
Fabulous Cornish pasties full of meat and vegetables light pastry a real taste of Cornwall
