Lovely food (my 10yr old son started eating the "delicious" ice cream stuffed pancake before I could take the pic 😆), excellent portion of Sunday roast with good selection of well cooked veg. Nice sized kids portion, he still had room for garlic bread and an adult sized pud!! 13yr old enjoyed cooking his own steak to his liking (meal adjusted for his dairy allergy no problem) and he loved the dairy free chocolate cake dessert, good sized portion too. My creme brulĂ©e was also excellent. Good value, good service, good atmosphere. Will happily return, thank you!!

We were on a very muddy winter walk. Despite this The Royal Oak supplies boot covers, and made us very welcome. Our light lunch choice was a much needed sausage and onion baguette with a little salad garnish. We highly recommend this place, which was a favourite of our family for celebrations. Great to see it still thriving.

Our family visited this fabulous pub yesterday and we all so impressed with the friendly and helpful staff that looked after us. There was a great welcoming atmosphere as we ushered in and the decor was charming. We all had delicious high quality food which was very reasonably priced (I had seared calves liver, bacon and mash). Would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing food lovely staff! Had the catch of the day fish, it was in amazing batter, the fish tasted so fresh I was transported to the sea swimming in a shoal of fish, then bought back to the lovely creamy mushy peas and sumptuous chips with a lovely tartare sauce!! My fiancée had the chicken pannini and she was very very impressed! Definitely going back to try others on the menu!!

Tried this place for a late lunch (After 3pm) on Saturday. Whilst most pubs won't serve food after 3, the Grumpy Mole continues to welcome guests and do it in style. The setting is simply gorgeous with several seating areas outside to choose from. Inside is also lovely but on a sunny summer day i wanted to enjoy the views. Our food choice didn't disappoint. Calamari, prawn cocktail and scallops for starters and sea bass with prawns and calves liver for mains. The food is cooked very well and presented very tastefully. Next time we go there I'll bring our dog as they are also allowed to the outside seating. There is a car park provided.

Went for afternoon tea .old pub ,a way out side of Oxted. In a very rural setting. Inside is very modern with a large bar, good selection of Beers and wine and a good food menu. Cream tea was excellent. Large outside seating area that wraps around the pub and takes advantage of the views. Two car parks either side of the pub.

We had a fantastic family meal ( there were 14 of us) in the alcove which is perfect for large groups. Everyone loved their meals, ranging from Fish Pie, Sri Lankan curry, burger, Roast Beef, steak and ale pie and fish and chips. The service, food and atmosphere were brilliant and thanks to the whole Grumpy Mole team!

Lovely country pub but we were sat in the garden (with a lovely view) but the occasional whiff of sewage â˜č. We could have moved but we’d already given the table number and weren’t advised of the problem. Food was ok - I had the fish pie and I asked whether it contained spinach. I was advised it didn’t but that turned out to be wrong. It also had capers in.

My first time here, and a nice (not too hot) summer evening in July, this was a Friday night the place was busy, lucky to get a space in the car park, but also great to see this business flat out (after Covid etc). I would recommend based on this to book in advance, we did, and we had a nice meal with a couple of bottles of wine, the starters and main dishes were all cooked well, and very nice. The service was attentive, with someone cross-checking one of our requests around garlic in one of the dishes, which they were able to cope with. This attention to detail is good, nothing worse than getting served something you did not want, or are unable to eat The pub is doggo friendly, and has a nice decor indoors and well maintained outdoor area, with some wonderful views and last night a super Kentish sunset. This pub is part of a group of three or four, so not a chain, but a nice size of company for this type of country-style pub/food venue in terms of standards and continuity of service and staff. I would recommend it fully and wish I lived a little closer!

Really good food and service from the staff. However the place does need a good clean, lots of cobwebs on the ceiling, on window sills on lamps etc.

Very cosy pub / restaurant, excellent service and very welcoming but I was somewhat disappointed by the meal compared to previous visits and prices have risen, not the best value!!

Stopped for a drink and saved the place immediately :) staff was welcoming, everything spotless, plates well presented. Too bad we had plans for lunch. I saw some interesting fish and seafood dishes. And the smell....yummy. We stopped around lunchtime. It was very busy, but everyone still smiling. Looking forward to try the food P.S. call before if you're planning to eat there. They seemed fully booked. Prices... around ÂŁ17 a main course
