Absolute gem of a place.
Love Jerome's food and the hospitality he and his wife offer. We have been frequent visitors for a few years now. The fillet steak is my absolute favourite, with the port and stilton sauce. Just Gorgeous. Thanks Jerome and Stacey ! And see you soon!!
Bastille weekend celebrations. Lovely buzz. Good quality bbq and a great selection of real ale and ciders. It was a great start to the weekend.

I and my two guests had lunch on a very wet and miserable Saturday, and this explains the atmosphere being a little lacking - we had the place almost to ourselves. But good for us! I hesitate to give the 5-star review that is so well-deserved, only for fear of not being able to get a table next time

This pub is just the best country pub there is. And once a year for bastille day they put on a music festival for the full weekend. The owners Jerome and Stacey are fantastic, very welcoming. Then to top it off Jerome works his magic in the kitchen to serve a brilliant menu to you. Highly recommend.
The horse and groom is a fantastic pub. The food is out of this world. The Camembert is a must and the beef and ale pie was one of the most delicious pies I have ever eaten! Love this establishment.
We went there because one of our party remembered, years ago, having really good bangers and mash with an amazing gravy. We weren't disappointed.
Two slight disappointments were the range of puddings, reduced further because crepes weren't being done that night, and the noise from the road occasion
