We had an excellent dinner for my husbands birthday last Saturday we were treated to a Chefs table which made it Extra special. The food was simply sublime. Oysters with smoked jalapeño oil and butterflied Gurnard were one of our favourites! I highly reccomend for a special occasion. Thank you Chef
Amazing impromptu late birthday lunch with my partner. Elegant minimal settings provided the perfect backdrop to our scrumptious lunch. The highlight was definitely the bbq octopus from the specials board, wowser! Completed by warm and effortless service, our food was matched only by the fine choice
Had a great dinner at the new and improved Wilding, which now has a food service to match the wine and surroundings. Among the many standout plates were the BBQ hen of the woods and the squid (see pic), while based on a sample of 50% of the desserts it seems hard to go wrong. Will be returning befor
mmmmm. Lovely food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Update 27 Aug 2023. New chef's, new menu ... what a fabulous night out. Try the courgette flowers, the Posh Northern Tea and the scallops (at least). Great restaurant, great food, great atmosphere. Try Wilding for a really special night ou
Had Sunday lunch with family. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout. Wonderful food and drinks. Lovely setting, noticed they have outdoor space for warmer weather. Will definitely return. Fresh baked Sourdough was put onto the counter and I asked if I could buy one, sadly not on this occ
Loved the service here, very friendly. Steak was excellent and the ability to buy wine by 500 mL rather than the whole bottle was great for us. Perhaps a tad pricey, but would likely come back when I’m next in the city
The new menu is amazing. I have been to Wilding before and wasn’t impressed with the food… it was ok but not great. The new menu is impressive, lots of great items where the taste, texture, and look have been carefully thought of. We were sitting at the chefs table (recommend if you are a foodie) a
Staff were very friendly and attentive, the food and drink was delicious and arrived promptly, and the restaurant had an overall warm and inviting atmosphere. Will certainly be back in the near future!
Long Bank Holiday lunch with friends. 8 of us. Food super interesting and really delicious. We shared lots of different dishes so got to try a great variety of what was on offer. John Dory for 2 - so fresh and tasty. Lamb - very very good. Hispy cabbage absolutely yummy. Croquetas excellent. Posh
Has a great dinner here. Excellent service, very attentive. Nice list of wines by the glass. Rhubarb crumble was delicious.
A nice evening at the Wilding. Interesting food - we really enjoyed the ambition of what the chefs tried to do. Not all dishes were a hit, but a few did. The charred leeks were excellent, the venison main was cold and a little tough. Wait staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbea
My wife and me had a blast. Very tasty food and wine. We went for an experimental sampling and it was outstanding. Even such standard proposals as salmon and a roll with mushrooms had a very nice surprising touches. We definitely want to come back.
Walked past and popped in as the menu looked great although we had limited time. All the dishes we tried were fantastic, original menu with excellent execution. Service was brilliant, able to have an amazing meal in a quick turn around. Huge wine list
Great meal and evening at Wildings, loving the new menu. Food was outstanding!
Fantastic wine venue. Service: The service was amazing - so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I only went inside to buy a single wine, and they helped me immediately, going over several options based on my preferences. Atmosphere: Ended up drinking some wine there too, and the vibe is lovely -
Top service - staff were very attentive and friendly. Great selection of wine and food was amazing. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in the county.
We enjoyed a superb lunch at the 'new' Wildings this weekend. The food was simply superb and we enjoyed sitting at the Chef's Counter watching the dishes come together - and it was all so very calm in the kitchen. The range of dishes was great - which meant you could go traditional three-course or
