Best Kerala restaurant in Oxford.we had Onam Sadhya from Bhoomi Kitchen and it was really finger licking. It tasted exactly similar to the sadhya we had back in Kerala. Made our onam feel like home. Special thanks for Papu snd Azar for the sadhya. The service was really good. Thank you Sagar, Sanju and Nagendra for the friendly service.
Very nice Indian restaurant with various options of vegetarian dishes and meat dishes 😁. Friendly atmosphere and staff members. Clean bathrooms. Outside tables in the garden available in front of London Road. Inside tables in cosy restaurant.
We had Onam Sadiia and it was amazing. Food was so authentic like mom would cook it. Portions were big as well… Really we enjoyed this meal, so satisfying. Service also was quick and attentive, many thanks to Papu, Azar they were the best 👌
Hands down one of the nicest Indian meals I've ever had.
The menu was limited, but still had an excellent variety. I have always struggled with the size of the typical Indian/curry restaurant menu, which often leads to repeat unadventurous ordering. At Bhoomi there was a much more limited choice, but clearly each dish was well considered to offer something for most people.
The beef curry I had was absolutely delicious and paired so well with the paratha, as recommended by the staff.
I'm only in Oxford for a short while, were it not for this I could easily see this becoming a regular for me.
We found this great restaurant by chance on a weekend-break in Oxford. First impressions were that the decor was modern and the staff were friendly.
The menu was refreshingly concise. The manager, Papu, gave great advice on what to choose - the lamb biryani special was outstanding. He talked to us for a while and I got the genuine impression that they really care about the quality and uniqueness of their menu. Everything was delicious. (I don't say that often - the previous night we left most of our food at a well-reviewed restaurant in town).
Service was efficient. The restaurant was busy but is set up so well that it is not too noisy.
5 days later we're still talking about it, wondering if it really is crazy to go back to Oxford again just to visit Bhoomi Kitchen.
Amazing food and service. We love Bhoomi and recommend it to everyone.
Very delicious food. We were a group of 7 and all ordered the Thali option. It has a bit of everything, and the portions were perfect. We all enjoyed our meal very much. I was particularly impressed with the waitress, she was so sweet and very helpful. Will definitely come back and sample other items on the menu. One small downside is that, perhaps because of the small space, it felt a bit too noisy when we were there.
Just had our anniversary dinner at thus fine restaurant. Having been Kerala with my partner many years ago this was a great food experience that allowed us to recollect some great memories and taste the great cuisine of Kerala once more. The service was great and the staff extremely patient and accommodating, they even treated us to a complimentary dessert to help top our meal off and celebrate our anniversary in style. Would recommend to anyone who likes Indian cuisine, especially if you enjoy trying regional dishes and to get a true taste of Kerala!
By far the best Indian in Oxford. Well deserving the Michelin star recommendation. The service was great and prices matched the expectations. Would defiantly go again. Left feeling very satisfied and full.
Very attentive staff. As someone that suffers with a nut allergy, I felt well looked after and it was taken very seriously. They were happy to take extra precaution to ensure a good experience with reassurance about the food. The food was great, a nice atmosphere, I would recommend.
Bhoomi is more than deserving of its Michelin guide listing. I can't stress enough how excellent the service was, which was easily on par with Michelin star restaurants. The food was just as good.
We went for a lunch thali, and had the BBQ prawns from the dinner menu (which they happily obliged to serve). These were easily some of the best prawns I've ever had. They were cooked to perfection.
The thali was a lovely selection of South Indian curries, all of which were excellent. We've had several thali, and restaurants generally struggle to maintain quality across all the dishes, but Bhoomi doesn't have this issue. The breads were also delicious.
We both had lassis, which again were far beyond the quality of lassis you'd usually get in a restaurant.
The food and service were both stellar, and we will be back.
Ordering the food here was v simple, two choices of style. One where you can choose all the dishes and another where the chef organises your courses. The food was very tasty with only one dish that wasn't my taste. The heat level was spicy but to the perfect degree. The service was great and the staff explained the menu well and were attentive to our needs. We decided to sit outside where it was comfortable, peaceful and warm due to the heaters. Overall a very positive experience however expensive.
"Delicious food and exceptional service! Azar was incredibly helpful during our entire visit."
My friends and I had onam sadhya from Bhoomi kitchen Oxford. It was fabulous and being a keralite I must say the food was great. Everything was same as how our mothers make at home. And I can't believe it's the first time they are doing it and they nailed it.
To talk about the service, I personally felt like visiting a home it was so welcoming and they did a great job serving the food. Have to mention all their names. My heartfelt thanks to Papu and Azar, and all the staffs, Sagar, Sanju, Nagendre and all the chefs who worked so hard to prepare a wonderful meal. My mind and stomach is so full. A recommended Kerala restaurant in Oxford.
