Wonderful service from The Cake Shop after a local bakery let us down in last few days.
Our order was executed so professionally and delivered with time to spare.
My twin and I celebrated 80 years and we’re still on the same page and smiling, more so as the cake fulfilled both our wishes. Elegant, and delicious. Absolutely recommend!
Nice looking shop. We bought a bag of vanilla sponge cake for £2. It was very good. Will come back to the shop again on our visit to Oxford in future.

The Cake Shop Oxford made the cake for our wedding back in June 2022 and it was absolutely perfect! We knew the taste would be incredible as we've been eating their products for years (mostly the bags of cake off-cuts they do from when we were poor students!), and we were not disappointed - we had four tiers with different flavours for each! They worked with us to create an incredibly personalised and extremely detailed design, right down to the bride and groom figures on top (they got us to send through pictures of our actual outfits for the wedding so that they could replicate these and so many of our guests commented on how special this was!). After the wedding I was able to preserve a few of the sugar paste decorations from the cake (see picture below) as they were too beautiful to not keep, and we now have them as a very special memory. Price-wise, I also found them to be very good value compared to other quotes I received.
Thank you so much again - we still have two slices in our freezer that we're saving for a special occasion!
We had a cake made for my Son's Birthday and took along 4 images of a hot rod car from his favourite TV show.
The detail on the cake is amazing and made quite an impression on the night with many asking where it was made and photos being taken.
Would recommend this shop if you're looking for something a little more unique.
Our wedding cake turned out incredible! We were super happy with it and they were able to accommodate our gluten free and dairy free needs. Highly recommended!
The cakes from here are exceptionally good. They create different designs throughout the year and will create - on site and in front of customers - pretty much any design you need. Both my partner and myself enjoy having there cakes for celebrations and would reccomend to anyone and everyone

We (Sage Songbird Designs) met the Cake Shop team at Voco Oxford Thames Wedding Fair. They were very friendly and we tried some of their cakes which were delicious. We'd thoroughly recommend them for wedding cakes.
We knew we wanted our cake from The Cake Shop as we had previously had an amazing 60th birthday cake from them. We had a meeting with them to discuss the particulars of what we wanted, where they gave great advice about sizes, type of cake and decorations etc. We had the most beautiful sugar flowers made. They had never made alstroemeria flowers before, so they trialled it and kept us up to date with its progress. The flowers were so lifelike, our florist was comparing the real flowers to them as it was so impressive. All our guests loved the cake and eating it too! Thank you!

Made a fantastic cake for my wedding - absolutely delicious - all the guests complimented how lovely it was. Created exactly what we asked for. Ordered a cake from The Oxford Cake shop for my son’s baptism day and I was blown away by both the look and the taste of the cake. Nearly all of my guests commented and everyone was in agreement that they had never seen nor tasted anything quite like it. Will definitely be using them again and recommending them to all. Fantastic cake shop just a pity they weren’t based closer to me in Harrow.
We were looking for a 'Thank you' gift for our daughter who was looking after the dog while we were away. Saw the beautiful cakes in the shop window, including small, individually decorated cakes with personal messages on them so went in, chose an iced sponge cake and asked for a personal message. This was done immediately and for free! Wish we lived closer as I would love to come back. Thank you! (She loved it by the way!)
