Loved the design of the restaurant, had a corner table by the window which was nice. Food looked small but was surprisingly plenty! :) lovely friendly staff and nice atmosphere

Great selection of beers, lagers, ales and soft drink. Have to confess I have not gone for their selection of food yet as I hardly have time to dine. However service is excellent. Maybe when I reach the Golden age I may try it out.

Eggs Neptune is the ultimate dish - absolutely delicious with a light & luscious hollandaise sauce !! It's the stuff that makes you want to go back again and again - I certainly will !!

Went for breakfast and loved the fact that when I asked for wheat free options I could have everything on the menu just with wheat free bread!! The waitress in fact said yes to all my requests of mixed juices, soy milk and different eggs! Will definitely go back... My only criticism is that although the decor is shabby chic when I went to the loo some areas were really in need of a proper clean.. skirting boards and corners!! It didn’t put me off and I will go back❤️

Chorizo eggs were delicious with sumptuous hollandise sauce! We loved our pizza too, delish. Thank you for fantastic friendly service today! One of you gave our children your unwanted Eiffel Tower in a tin which they are building right now. Thank you A+++++

The place is lovely and has a great vibe, it is always packed around lunch time, but if you're patient, you'll get a seat. Food is spectacular - could do with more healthy options, GF/DF deserts etc..
I do think some of the staff members could try a bit harder though - last time, after I have ordered a piece of toast, an egg and tomato, I was served a piece of toast drenched in butter, an egg and tomato, which for most of people would be fine, but I am on a strictly Dairy Free/ Gluten Free diet, so had to send it back. The lady serving wasn't impressed and made it very clear to me and my friend.
Nevertheless, it is still one of the top places in Oxford and most definitely in Headington.

The interior of the Cafe is delightful - pretty red bunting, candles, vintage colours, enamel pots and pans, wooden furniture - very shabby chic and French country kitchen. Attractive detailing - many items also available for sale View from back of Cafe Unfortunately, MiniF wasn't feeling at his best, so I only had chance to speed-read the menu, without taking a picture, but ordered myself an Orange Juice, Decaf Latte and Full J&F Breakfast with Scrambled Egg. DaddyF chose the J&F Full English as it comes and MummyF order

Delicious food with hearty portions. Menu has good variety. Friendly service. Cozy environment. The only improvement I felt needed is chai latte. But it is alittle blend. Taste more milk than anything else.

So have been to this independant eatery 3 times now and it doesn't disappoint! It is a real hidden gem amongst the hustle and bustle of Headington. We were welcomed and looked after by Claudia on this occasion. The food and service was amazing, as it always is. There was another guy, didn't get his name, he was always smiling, laughing and had a lovely way with custoners. Working in hospitality is hard and it's so nice to see people that clearly love what they do. A great brunch place, with the most amazing cakes as well, great for carnivores, vegans and those with special diets, Oh and they serve alcohol too, shame I was working, would have loved a Bloody Mary! Highly recommend 👌

£25 bottomless brunch well worth the money a bottle of prosecco is £24 so definitely worth the money. We had 2 bottles and 2 beers, plus 2 egg royales which was delicious...you had to tip your bottle upside down and then were brought another drink. Great staff. Good value for money definitely recommend ☺️

Good quality, tasty food. Cool place, good for a family catch up, or a date! But the prices are too high in my opinion - £5 for a vanilla milkshake in a glass is too much - at that price it should be one of those big pint sized metal milkshake cups.

Knowing how excellent the sister pub is in Wolvercote (please see my review of Jacob’s Inn) we thought we’d try out Jacobs and Field in Headington. We were not disappointed. All the ingredients that made the pub so remarkable are there: first class service; simple food done well; welcoming, unfussy decor. We’re going to return in a couple of days’ time for lunch so will update this post later. For the moment, though, all you need to know is that the Coffee and Walnut cake they serve is quite simply ‘world beating’. So good is it that I guarantee you will not taste better: rich, dark, low in sugar (always note that sweetness is the refuge of cake making cheats the world over) - with hand chopped walnuts atop this amazing creation….it really looks the part. In summary: imagine what an edible cup of fantastic darkest coffee could taste like and you’re very close to the enjoyment this brings. Well done, Jacobs & Field, for making my morning!
