I’ve tried the milkshake with oreo, kinder bueno and kitkat. Kinder bueno and kitkat were beautiful but not as fantastic as oreo. It was the most amazing milkshake i’ve ever tasted. When you come Oxford you should try the oreo one.
One of the best milkshakes I have ever had. And their variety and the options they have can make you go crazy. So many so many. But I loved the shake and I recommend.
Delicious and ridiculously thick milkshakes! There are honestly just too many flavours to choose from, it can be very confusing trying to figure out what to get. We eventually worked it out and grabbed two medium shakes, one was Hazelnut and Choc Chip flavoured and the other was Kinder Bueno flavoured. I think that I've had enough sugar to last me the next month, perhaps more! Best to get the small size next time, unless you want a sugar overload! ;)
It was a surprising and merry time at Moo Moo’s Milkshakes in Oxford. We first came across the stand in the covered markets in the morning and vowed to return to get a slurp later in the day. We missed their normal closing time but the staff were so kind to let us put our order through (not so lucky was the couple behind us). And to boot, they gave us a free upgrade in the size. It’s all well priced anyway, from £2.50 – £3.50. We ordered the peanut butter chocolate shakes, but we could have chosen from an inconceivable number of permutations. There’s a crazy array of choices and the tourist part of me doesn’t know what half these were. Cinnamon graham, bakewell tart, caramac – these sound like people I know. And Moo Moo’s is a proper shake, super thick and full of nutty richness. So creamy, so rich, so enjoyable. We couldn’t fit the full amount, but we rated the quality of the drink and the top notch service. Even at this closing order it was a busy kiosk and it’s not hard to understand why when it’s so good.
I was in Oxford for 6 weeks and every afternoon there was a quite long que at Moo Moo's. Besides that the milkshakes are perfect! There are a lot of flavours and I tried Reese's, it was delicious.
During my short stay in Oxford, my diet was primarily fast food; Pizza Hut buffets, juicy beef burgers from MCD & Burger King, and a few beers to chug it all down. But the aliment to impress me the most was the unassuming milkshake!
Located in the Covered Market of Oxford, lies a small,
funky joint called Moo Moo's Milkshakes.
A meek & humble stall having over 200 milkshakes deserves a shot!
First however, you got to queue up to put in an order. I did get a little impatient and nearly give up on it; but having finally arrived at my turn I ordered the necessary for my friends & I, and waited.
My! Was it worth the wait & streams of people!
Serving blends of fruits, cookies, and chocolate bars into milkshakes; its liquid perfection!
Thick, rich & sweet!
And perhaps a tidbit or two of unblended chocolate bar at the bottom of the cup as a surprise!
Apart from flavour, what makes this place standout is the variety. If you think of something edible, chances are they can make a smoothie or beverage out of that!
Best Milkshakes.. My head was in a whirl. So many delicious sounding choices and me with limited funds. I couldn't try them all, so it came down to a choice between the cherry ripe or Turkish delight flavours. I went Turkish and I have never looked back. I loved the chilled milk and the sensational flavour, so much that I decided to chuck the diet there and then. This place really does serve the most delicious shakes and was recommended to me by a plethora of Aussie expats.
Moo Moo's - Oxford, England. A permanent fixture in Oxford, the Covered Markets have a variety of shops with food, clothes etc. Some of these places the customers can go into others are merely stalls. One of these is a milkshake bar with a very very extensive menu (just click the menu link to see what I mean) - Moo Moo's Milkshakes. It is noticeably popular and there is a good reason for it.
The stall is brightly coloured and easily recognisable from a distance. Their choice of colour is penultimately questionable - hot pink - but for with the kind of item that they are selling it has some sort of suitability to it. A glimpse into the service counter shows on the wall a tiling of past loyalty cards which is a nifty and unique choice that shows its popularity off even more.
Service is often what it needs to be here and can vary - some are sort of clueless and others are competent. All up they are friendly and it is quick for a good snack.
I have been here several times. So far I have gotten a toffee muffin with banana (one of their then specialties), a jam doughnut with chocolate fingers and apple pie. Aside from that I have had a taste of Turkish Delight and orange marmalade.
All of them were pretty good, with the jam doughnut being the best one so far combining well with the chocolate fingers - it was a lot better than you would think it should be. Toffee muffin with banana was kind of like a banoffee pie which is one of my favourite desserts. All else was very good as tastes as one would expect, with some being initially questionable at first but being tasty in the end (namely apple pie).
I love milkshakes, especially when there are less conventional flavours. This is some fairy tale come to life for me. Of course, it can be safely assumed that I will and will want to come back to this place again. Just hope my waistline does not curse me.
Haven’t tried the milkshakes yet, but the pistachio ice cream is super good!
If you are at Oxford, you must visit the Covered Market, and once you are there, a stop over at Moo-Moos’s for a smoothie or a milkshake is a must!
Popular amongst the locals & visitors alike, a stop over here will get you cooled down in summer & excited in the winter!
I ordered the two most popular drinks, and feel great!
Go ahead, try it out, & thank me later 🙂🥤🍦
A staple in Oxford, especially over the summer (though good all year around!) A proper thick milkshake, and they offer a non-dairy/soya base. Take your time as the mix-ins list is overwhelmingly long, but you're bound to create the perfect shake! I usually go for reese's cups or chocolate chip cookies.
pretty store with a variety of flavoured shakes and smoothies.
Unique and delicious flavors! It was incredible. The number of options is a bit overwhelming but both of the milkshakes we ordered were so good.
Great place for a fairly priced treat after a long day of walking around Oxford! They have so many options to choose from, it was overwhelming to decide what to get but I ended up going for white Kinder Bueno and it did not disappoint! It did make me feel quite sickly after a while, but I will still be going back again the next time I’m around.
Friendly staff and amazing choice of flavours. The milkshakes themselves are incredible! They are reasonably priced as well. Couldn’t be happier with my experience!
Great choices of milkshakes and smoothies, delicious! Only thing I’d like to see is reduction on plastic lids and encouraging people to bring their own cup rather than using a disposable one, would encourage me to go more :)
THE BEST AND THE MOST AFFORDABLE CHAIN OF MILKSHAKES and SMOOTHIES 🤍🤍
They have such a great menu and the staff is so cooperative. Quick service and the drink is so filling 😻
The staff is SO nice!! They’re even sweeter than their milkshakes :) Highly recommend!
Best shakes in the entire world!!! No doubt! You can choose and mix your preferred ingredients from a really long list of biscuits, chocolates, fruits, sweets, spreads,....the options are endless!!!
I always make it a point to stop at Moo-Moo’s when visiting Oxford. Every time I stop by there is always a line. Staff is friendly and efficient even when you can tell they are quite exhausted from being on their feet non-stop. Making our way down that endless list slowly but surely! Great service and great milkshakes.
Up to 200 flavours of milkshakes and I tried the toffee popcorn. It was rather nice. Price was acceptable.
If you are in Oxford, this should be on your list of places to visit because they make the best milkshakes in town! At an affordable price too! It's so good, there's always a long queue that stretches outside of other shops in the covered market.
You'll notice that a lot of locals, students and tourists are holding a cup of Moo Moo's (that cute distinctive pink/white cup with either stripes or cows that stands out from other bottles/cans/cups) while roaming around the little town of Oxford.
They have a variety of flavours for you to try too!
It ranges from the healthy ones like fruit smoothies and for people with a sweet tooth, a whole list of different chocolate bars for milkshakes! There are also cereal bars, candies such as liquorice, syrup sauces, cakes, biscuits available and so much more! If you want, you can even bring your own for them to make a milkshake out of.
There's always something new for you to try and if you want to add an extra such as mixing with another flavour or so, just add 70p.
They also do different specials every other week such as mars bar and banana but of course, my all-time favourite is the strawberry milkshake with milkybar. It is absolutely heavenly! I love it so much, I always buy it everytime I go to town!
Also, they offer a loyalty card scheme so everytime you buy a milkshake, you get a stamp and after 7 stamps, the next milkshake is free! Not bad for a regular size drink costing just £2.70! Plus, once you've completed the card, you get to write/draw/doodle on it then they post it on their walls for other people to see! I've filled up so many, I bet my cards cover atleast half of one side of their walls!
So when you're out and about, don't forget to visit this place!
P.s. The nearest way to get there is via the entrance on high street beside Pizza Hut.
Just as you enter the covered market, you will come across this tiny takeaway. I would recommend it. Lots of varieties of smoothies. They have other items in their menu too- like cakes and chocolate bars.
The prices are in the range of 3 to 5 pounds for smoothies which come in three sizes- S, M and L. The quantity is good. Quick service even though it's so crowded, especially in summers. Friendly staff who make good suggestions if the wide variety of options make the choice difficult.
Delicious! I got the carrot cake milkshake and it did not disappoint. It was amazing.
Only downside is the paper straws that disintegrate quickly given the viscosity of the drink (you have to suck really hard!)
I'm glad they offer a small size, unlike most places. This helps one consume treats responsibly as I'm sure it does nothing for ones health.
Anybody who has been to Oxford has seen people walking around with the pink colourful milkshake cups and straws. They are just so tasty and creamy which makes you keep going back for more. With the most amazing selection of flavours you can do any sort of combination - worth the price in my opinion. The staff are super wonderful.
Best milkshake shop in possibly the whole country, (maybe even the whole world 😅), let alone Oxford 🐮 Freshly blended and prepared, with 100s of different combinations to try, and service always with a smile 😃 Great loyalty scheme too! 👍🏻 Cash and card payments accepted, and very fair prices for different sizes of drinks! A go-to in Oxford! 🙌🏻
Lovely milkshakes with plenty of choice. Fairly priced. The staff are super friendly!
