Based on reviews took a chance to visit. They were very busy and kindly squeezed me, a solo person, in before their 7.30pm booking arrived. Great service, attentive and retrieved flying olive from plate to floor.
Moussaka delicious. Wish I could have lingered longer coz atmosphere lively with sounds of Greece in background.

The best place to eat in Headington. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is warm and has great service. Try the village suasage, the fluffy yoghurt dip that comes with the cheese mushrooms, and the Greek brandy coffee.
Excellent service, the chicken is a bit bland but with the white sauce, it's delightful. I love the bread with hummus and their prawns were amazing. The staff were very friendly too and the whole feel of the restaurant is nice.
Authentic Greek food at very reasonable prices. Great team of waiting staff. The extension at the back is a bit lacking in atmosphere compared to the tables at the front, but everything else about this restaurant is excellent.
Fabulous Greek Restaurant. Nice decor, friendly welcome, delicious food. The cold meze hit the spot and the Stifado was the best we have ever tasted. Special shout out to Paolo our Greek waitress

The ambience is just perfect, so serene yet alive. The food portions are really good and its very tasty. Decent food varieties for children and adults and the price is affordable.

Dined here with my girlfriend during our visit to Oxford, staying outside we found this restaurant via Google. We love Greek food and it truly did not disappoint. My girlfriend said it was as good as the Greek food she had on holiday in Greece and it was the best Greek food I have had ever. The Stifados was wonderful, tender and tasty. The Swordfish was fantastic and the Baklava was out of this world, remember to save space for it. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, service is great and non intrusive and good value for money. Its a short bus/taxi ride from the City Centre and well worth it.

Absolutely delicious food. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The decor is clean and very tidy. Lovely open fronted Taverna. Very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and actually Greek!

The food is fantastic, the place is really clean and enjoyable. The service could be better. They're never rude, but sometimes they seem a bit indiferent, still five starts for me regardless.
The acropolis is a delectable dining experience. You wouldn't guess it from the unassuming frontage but there's plenty of space inside.
The food was delicious with plenty on the menu for meat eaters as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
The staff is polite, attentive and very helpful, ready and eager to give recommendations and explain the specials. Perhaps it's because we ate there when it wasn't very busy, but the food came out really fast as well.
The prices are also reasonable. All in all I recommend and would eat there again.
On a warm evening, in an open fronted taverna facing the street, enjoying full plates of tasty food; you could be in the Hellic Republic!

As a Greek living in the UK the last 4 years (London, Glasgow and Oxford) I can say this is one of the best UK Greek Taverns. The food is lovely, cooked by Greek cooks and made me feel I am back in Greece. The service is excellent, all the people friendly and nice and the owner great. Glad to have found this restaurant. Will definitely be back there really soon! I definitely recommend it to Greeks and non Greeks.
PS. The prices are very reasonable and they also serve the lovely "AΛΦΑ" beer!!!
