Meatball sandwich with beet root salad is delicious. Cafe is large and has both areas upstairs and downstairs. It was fairly busy at lunch time, but quieted down later. Menu might be limited for some so it is a good idea to check it out before visiting.

An excellent addition to Oxford, the scandi plate was a nice combination. If being picky I like my salmon cured a tiny bit more and my herring pickled a little longer, but those are small grumbles to an otherwise lovely dish. The beets in particular are majestic.

OMG gluten free pastry just went to another level. Skogen Kitchen is now producing the BEST gluten free cinnamon buns, and they are. simply. super. scrummy. I've eaten some pretty sub-standard GF baking, but you wouldn't even know these were gluten free. Nom nom nom nom nom nom nom. Gobbled up in a matter of minutes. Do pop in or order them to be delivered if you live in Oxford.

A little Scandinavian cafe, with classics such as marinated herring, beetroot salad and amazing cardamom buns; it also makes amazing avocado on sourdough toast and brunch sized platters with a bit of everything. This has been the place for us after lockdown, having tables outside and in a quiet side street with a classic view of old Oxford buildings... We love it!

I went to the cafe after finding it online specifically for the vegan cinnamon buns on a Saturday. There were none left by the time we got there and the lovely lady offered to make me some and to come back in 1 hour 😭😍 They were delicious, such friendly service. I'm intolerant to dairy and eggs so it was the first time I'd eaten pastry in a long time. This was a very special experience, made better by the wonderful staff. Next time I will pre order the buns! Thoroughly recommend.

Went for a birthday breakfast. Something to satisfy all of us - mountain of waffles for teenager, carb heavy for middle aged man, and something lovely for me! A special treat. Excellent coffee, lovely food, and reasonably priced. Would definitely go again. My only suggestion would be an improvement in the service - bringing one lot of knives and forks at a time isn't the most efficient way to work! Having said that they were very pleasant.

We lived around the corner from this restaurant last summer and it was so lovely to be able to stop in and grab something to take to the parks. Our son was a toddler and the owner very kindly went out of her way to show him the doll house in the lower dining room and to talk to him. Absolutely everything was delicious, but I still miss the cardamom buns the most!

The food and service is simply superb. Warm and friendly - we would highly recommend the meatball classic and the salmon with scrambled eggs. It is located in a quaint yet cosy street and we would recommend sitting outside to take the pleasant view of Brasenose College. The signature cinnamon buns would be the quintessential take away. A must visit when in Oxford!

Interesting and excellent Scandinavian cafe, serving nordic cakes, cookies, and small plates. There are 2 floors with plenty of seating, they offer sandwiches, some small plates, and changing specials. The food is made fresh, and is very tasty but the portion sizes are a bit small for me. Coffee is OK, cakes are very good, and there are plenty of healthy options. It's a little different and refreshing option for those looking for something different.
