My girlfriend and I had an evening meal on Tuesday night. Didn't know what to expect. But must say that the food was excellent. We have just returned from a week in Venice and the food was exactly the same. The shared starter platter was delicious, I could eat that for breakfast, dinner and tea. They also had the largest selection of amaro I have seen outside of Italy. The calves liver was so soft. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

To my Gluten-free friends in Oxford, not only is the food delicious and the staff wonderful, but La Cucina has the best Gluten-free menu with the most options that I have ever seen!! Thank you, La Cucina! I will be back!

Very friendly establishment with fresh and great-tasting food. If anyone ever happens to be in or around Oxford for any reason, then I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Pure chance brought us to La Cucina the evening before a dear friend’s funeral. One of the best Italian meals we have enjoyed outside Italy and a fitting valediction for someone with whom we have relished good food from the Orkney Islands to the South of France. Thank you.

We rarely eat out but when we do we often choose La Cucina. We are never disappointed! The staff are always very friendly and accommodating, and the food is fresh and tasty. Simple Italian cuisine at it's best.

Amazing food! Like I was eating in Italy again. Very tasty, good portions too. My boyfriend had the Calzone and they put garlic oil on the dough and it tasted amazing! So good! The staff were really friendly too, very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend and eat there again.

La Cucina's lunch special has to be the best deal in Oxford. Your choice from a selection of pizzas, pastas, a risotto or a soup with a side salad and a glass of wine for £8. The food incredible (we had the La Cucina risotto and the Quattro Formaggi - both were excellent) and the service was friendly, personalised and lovely. A fantastic lunch all around. We are looking forward to returning for the North Italy Five Course Feast.

Having spent what feels like years wanting to come and try the food here, we finally booked a table. The starters were really really nice, and came out so fast, especially given that it was busy. The mains followed soon after, and both were well presented. The food is all freshly prepared and you can really tell they make it with love. Unfortunately on this occasion, my main lacked any real flavour to it, but the pasta itself was home made and very well cooked. The dessert was perfect, and I’m sure we will return to try something new on the menu! Glad to have found a trusty local Italian restaurant

We have been here for the third day in row since we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the meals. The truffle pasta with pesto and spinach, was absolutely mind blowing. The service is perfect as well, I think the prices are reasonable to. Waiting time is really short. The open kitchen design, with fresh vegetables makes the restaurant really authentic.

It was rainy and cool (in July). I snuck into the back of the restaurant chilled from walking in drizzle. I sat next to the kitchen, warm and buzzing with chefs, pots, and food. The lasagna was delicious. Hot, cheesy, tangy, beefy and kissed with tomato. The tiramisu didn’t disappoint either. I love cooking, and it was a pleasure to be around the chef, enjoy a delicious meal, and see and hear the inner workings of an everything made from scratch kitchen.

A lovely and friendly Italian restaurant serving some fantastic food. Loads of pizzas and pasta dishes including a massive calzone! The pork chop with nduja, smoked cheese and mash (last Sunday's special) is delicious.

The food was good, especially the Risotto. The Parma ham for pizza was too salty, making us very thirsty after eating it. Not much service given from the restaurant but we can all the staff looks friendly.

My favourite restaurant in Oxford. Good authentic food at a reasonable price with friendly staff and great service. The specials are normally great as well and well worth ordering from.

Lovely place to eat, lots of choice of great food. I popped in on my own during the evening without booking and they were happy to seat me. I ordered the Seafood Pizza and a side salad, they were both delicious! The staff are great, friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble. So if you're in the area and want some fabulous Italian food, pop in! I can definitely recommend.

On a trip to Oxford with the family. My son booked La Cucina for traditional Italian pizzas…catered for Gluten free. Really tasty pizzas would definitely recommend this restaurant. I believe you won’t be disappointed. Nice food La Cucina, thank you.

Excellent place to have great authentic Italian cuisine. This family friendly restaurant serves lovely food Staff are friendly and accomidate you needs very well. We were sat right next to the open kitchen and we watched then prepare and cook our pizzas. The chef was friendly friendly played along with our children. Including making then a dough crocodile. They enjoyed the experience very much. Food was reasonably priced. I didn't feel it was expensive. Maybe the wine. Parking is hard work. There's a pay and display behind the restaurant but it's the most ill designed car park with 10 cars trying to find a space and no room to turn around and manoeuvre. We had to sneakily park behind a shop. Anyway, overall a lovely place to eat.

Amazing restaurant! I've had two birthday dinners here, attended several more, and have been here several times throughout my time in Oxford and it never fails to impress! Incredible food, lovely atmosphere & very helpful staff. They even let me place an order on the phone to come and collect which was very much appreciated. Absolutely love this place:)

La Cucina is amazing. We visited 3 times in a span of 3 weeks because of how amazing the food, service, and atmosphere are. Even in a group of 10 students, the staff were on top of keeping our glasses full of water and our food took no longer than 15 minutes.
