We came around a facebook post about the Rocksteady Sunday Roast, this is a traditional Sunday Roast with a DJ playing Rocksteady music, we hadn't booked previously, however staff did their best to find us a table, took a while, but quite obvious as place was packed. Staff was great and eventually got us a table, in the meantime we had a couple of beers and just enjoyed the music and awesome atmosphere, a great mix of young people and families Once we were seated we enjoyed the BEST Sunday Roast yet, slow cooked meat, gentily cooked veggies and delicious tasty gravy, all together with the awesome tunes made this an unforgertable meal, after this we went out to the beer garden where me met a guy with his guitar and played some tunes while we enjoyed an after meal beers and coffee Awesome staff, superb food, fantastic atmosphere

Friendly, professional, quality place with great food. Menu is either classic dishes like a great burger or 'plates', i.e. tapas but not necessarily Spanish. The selection of ales is good and something they are quite rightly proud of. The new owners have converted this appalling old tired pub into something fresh and trendy... as a local resident I am extremely pleased.

Delicious food, great service and awesome venue. Catered for 9 of us with 2 allergies with absolutely no problem. Roast dinner to die for and awesome gluten free cauliflower cheese. Only thing I wasn't keen on was my Coffee Posset desert because it was quite grainy, might just be my personal weirdness with texture because it was beautifully flavoured but wish it was smoother like a moose. Will be coming back very soon and bringing more friends and family too!

Apart from the lady whom served us asking me to wear the Bloody Mary on my knee? no seriously though- great staff, great atmosphere and great grub, it will become my local, as it was when my Nan was alive and lived in Campbell Rd although it is a restaurant now and more than a pub. Thanks JPB’s for a nice and new experience.

The back gardens space was lovely and felt not busy even on friday evening which was nice! The kitchen is still closed so cannot rate the food from the pub but there was an amazing japanese van so that deserves a 5 but since its not affiliated to the pub it is 3 for now. The service was ok but looked like they needed more people in service since there were only two of them. Drinks stocks also looked quite low and wish there was a menu for drinks since that was missing. The pims half pint was £7.5 which was a bit steep and wish they checked if i wanted single of double shot since buying pims outside could coat me £15 per bottle. Overall it was lovely and felt relaxing environment but I think there is room for improvement.

Friends and I really November's Rocksteady roast session. The food by Marinades catering was absolutely delicious together with excellent service. The music was predictably fantastic too, we thoroughly enjoyed the nostalgic spins of DJ Skylarkin a truly wonderful entertainer. Unfortunately I wasn't that impressed with the white wine I had on this particular visit. However management did make efforts to amend the problem.

Delicious food, friendly service, super good for coeliac sufferers. I've eaten here multiple times having both battered food and beer without ever getting ill. The gluten free food is excellent, the staff are well informed about allergy issues and take them seriously. Much better than some Oxford restaurants which cost three times as much and have absolutely poisoned me.

Great local pub with some tasty beers and food. Went for Sunday lunch I'd advise booking. Very friendly owner and bar staff. Starter of bread and bits is almost a meal in itself, tasty Marmite butter. Great roast chicken and I had short rib with chips all very well cooked and presented. Especially good was the fig and pistachio cheesecake, light and fresh. Very good experience, relaxed dining. Will hye going again.

Came for a work lunch. Nicely decorated and extremely warm and friendly staff. There were a lot of real ales from different breweries and a good selection of nonalcoholic options. Beer battered fish and chips was excellent. It's easy to get batter wrong but this was crisp with no grease. Interesting pickled onions and peas and decent chips. Lots of non meat dishes, mushroom and leek pie and vegan lasagna were both tries by others to acclaim. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing. The patron came and offered us a full explanation of the menu. The food came quick and was delicious, hot, and modern. The vegan desert option was thrilling. My new favourite Oxford pub.

Wow. I've been here twice now. Food and service have been impressive on both occasions. During the first visit, I ate what could have been one of the best burgers in Oxford? Ingredients were simple, but of high quality and the meat was so juicy. During the 2nd visit, all questions about the food and menu, were answered in a friendly and informative way. I'll just leave this photo here.

We had a fantastic evening at this pub on a weeknight. The service was efficient and friendly, and the food was excellent. As the night went on, the pub filled up and had a great social atmosphere. This was our first time visiting, but we will be returning. Being close to Christmas, the menu reflects this with mulled wine/cider.

Unrecognisable from it's previous incarnation - they've done a great job with the place. Welcoming service, nice surroundings, and an imaginative and varied food menu. Also, credit where it's due: they've had a consistently excellent choice of beer on offer (many of them local) throughout. One minor gripe, please put something on the table to say it's been reserved, nothing worse then getting turfed out without warning when you're settled in for the evening!

It still feels and acts like a pub and it has an excellent kitchen. The food they produce is delicious. It is based on pub cuisine eg fish and chips, burger, ribs ... but includes several vegetarian options and a few other classics. All of them have been reworked into something special. Drinks are reasonably priced and good. Food is restaurant price but worth it. Staff are friendly, helpful and capable. Unfortunately during busy times they could probably benefit from having more. I recommend eating early or late.

Nice pub. New hipster decor. Very friendly staff. The food is quite expensive and the boards menu is very confusing. It looks like one board is £4, but in fact it's only one ITEM that's £4! In the plus side they had a real still cider.

I don't do pubs normally.....well that has definitely changed after a relaxing visit to The Jolly Postboys! Love the simple, practical and pleasing set up. Food was gloriously yummy! Staff were all genuinely friendly, welcoming and not in your face. What was palpably felt and heart-warming was the passion for the vision of the pub and the individual positive energy of each staff member. Definitely will be back xx

Absolutely amazing!!! I went there with my partner for dinner. Upon our arrival the Staff welcomed us, then when ordering George; who I think was the manager, came over and explained the menu to us and told us about the special they had on that day. It was amazing! The fish was perfectly cooked and the veg and mash on the air was equally as lovely. It was so nice I had to order another one to go! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting good food for a good price.

The only pub in Oxford's historic Florence Park Estate stocks an excellent choice of beers alongside craft gins and excellent soft drinks. Tasty menu featuring excellent burgers, good choice of bar snacks. Dog and child friendly.
