I’m obsessed with this place. It was the perfect ending to my Oxford and London trip before heading back to the States. The staff were so friendly and it was such a magical and warm place to find refuge and peace in the midst of a rainy day. I love this place and it was one of the highlights of my t
Stopped in here to grab a drink and get out of the rain. Cozy place with friendly staff. The bartender was great and shared lots of history of the surrounding area. Ask him for great pub recommendations in Oxford. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in Oxford
Exceptional service and delectable cuisine! The restaurant's staff was attentive and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The food was an absolute delight - each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. We had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be coming back for
I had a drink here with a beautiful woman, Elena, just after a walk around Port Meadow, where we were watching the wild horses. The pub was quiet when we arrived and time flied for me! It was a date I will always keep in my heart, as well as the place itself!:-)
Still wonderful. Love how they've opened it out. Beer range has become quite bland but the terrific atmosphere more than makes up for that. Mixed crowd, which is great, nobody is unwelcome. Food is very good she they have loads of events and reasons to visit. The fabric of the building is rather won
Fantastic hidden gem in the middle of a residential area of Oxford. From the outside it just looks like a classic British pub, inside is bursting full of character and the French food and wine makes a really incredible difference from the standard pub. The food, wine and beers of really high quality
Possibly Oxford's best pub (against stiff competition!). Cosy, eclectic, tucked away in a quiet part of Jericho. Lovely wines, excellent beers and cider, and with its usual fantastic French bistro food. The savoury crêpe are always perfect. I've been coming to this pub for years and I'll keep comin
The Old Bookbinders is a hidden gem! The crepes are an exquisite culinary delight, bursting with flavors that are simply unparalleled. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making every visit a joy. This pub effortlessly blends vintage charm and contemporary comfort, creating a cozy haven
The bookies is our local. It’s a great pub with an excellent selection of beer. The food is French style, Breton. Pancakes / crepes. I love the food. It’s a family run affair. I think parents are French. A quiz night runs during the week.
A classic town pub, quite cramped inside with some limited seating in the quiet street, not far from the canal which you can cross to the north and then a pleasant 10min stroll south to the station. A reasonable range of beers, not cheap at £8.20 for just a pint of beer and soda & lime with quite sl
Backstreet boozer with a Gallic slant which is an eclectic and vital part of any Jericho crawl. Friendly staff, quirky interior, and well-kept ales tick most of the boxes and the tables outside are most-sought on a clement day.
Very friendly pub, nice vibe, well kept ales and lovely french food. Menu limited, but delicious and not expensive. Didn't have a pud, but others did and they looked fabulous. Terrific service, staff engaged and knowledgeable. Limited parking in the area, which is a downside, but worth a walk from e
Excellent food, service first class. I always recommend Old Bookbinders as best french food in a pub you are ever likely to get. With a great choice of ales
What a place! Lovely pub serving some amazing French bistro style food. Been waiting to try here for a while and it really impressed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A friend recommended this as a nice pub with a French twist.
We had a lovely dinner 2 starters & 2 mains but it was £53 which is on the pricier side.
The beef bourguignon was labelled incorrectly as £13.50 when it was actually £17.50. They didn't offer to reduce the price either since when we saw
Our favourite pub in Oxford. Great food, beer, wine list and staff and connected into it's local community. Everything a pub out to be.
