Stopped in here to grab a drink and get out of the rain. Cozy place with friendly staff. The bartender was great and shared lots of history of the surrounding area. Ask him for great pub recommendations in Oxford. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in Oxford

I had a drink here with a beautiful woman, Elena, just after a walk around Port Meadow, where we were watching the wild horses. The pub was quiet when we arrived and time flied for me! It was a date I will always keep in my heart, as well as the place itself!:-)
Still wonderful. Love how they've opened it out. Beer range has become quite bland but the terrific atmosphere more than makes up for that. Mixed crowd, which is great, nobody is unwelcome. The bookies is our local. It’s a great pub with an excellent selection of beer. The food is French style, Breton. Pancakes / crepes. I love the food. It’s a family run affair. I think parents are French. A quiz night runs during the week.
