Found this pub by much detective work as most local pubs were not inspiring. Nice large car park. Clean inside everywhere. We went to the back in the conservatory with a good view and overlooking the mining museum. Seating was comfortable. There were a number of tables outside the back. Beers were a
Stopped off for impromptu lunch on Thursday 7th Sept - what a little gem - lovely warm welcome from lady behind the bar - Bradley our server was very polite and welcoming too. My daughter had sausage and mash and I had fish and mash - food was fabulous, piping hot and very tasty. Would strongly reco
Lovely Fish and Chips, and a decent selection of ales on offer. Nice traditional pub decor inside with a bright conservatory area where we ate. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We were out on a Sunday walk, on our way back from Emley. We were told the kitchen had stopped doing food (mid af
Great, friendly pub with good outdoor space at the rear. Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful especially Morgan. We eat here on Saturday evening and had Sunday lunch, both meals were amazing and service was great. The Raindeer also sells real ale, which was also a great buy. Could not rate t
I stopped here for a couple of hours whilst waiting to collect a friend from a meeting close by.
I ordered a quick snack, Onion Bhaji, although it was quite tasty, was somewhat expensive for what I actually received. See the photo below. £6.75?
What a lovely country style pub
With home cooking in house.
I would highly recommend.
The welcome you get is like you go every week.
All the staff are amazing and helpfull in every way possible.
The night was to celabrate my birthday with my wife sister and brother in law.
The food was exceptional.
Please note, during covid we decided to get rid of our play area due to it getting vandalised on numerous occasions. We also revamped our beer garden.
Great food, reasonably priced.. But no mineral water available 😒 Good Fish & Chips and Lasagne plus Roast dinners
Lovely place to stumble across, much bigger inside than expected. Liked the outdoor seating area with great views although too wet to sit outside. Probably would benefit from some new decor (a bit dated) but all the same a lovely, friendly place to drink. Hope to visit again soon.
Called in a couple of weeks ago to ask if they could accommodate a small wake, the landlady, Karen, couldn't have been more helpful and as promised provided a lovely buffet yesterday at a more than reasonable price. Karen and the other lady, sorry don't know her name, were really welcoming and look

I would recommend this little pub for eating or just popping in for a drink
Called today and had the Smoked Mackerel ( the best you'll ever taste), the Roast Pork, and Strawberry Cheesecake. Everything was absolutely spot on. The Reindeer is a lovely cosy pub with very friendly staff who are always pleased to help in any way.
It's a real pleasure to eat here, and it wont be
I had a great meal in the afternoon home made steak pie with chips it was amazing followed by a few pints the landlady helped me find out what time the bus came a great place indeed
Very friendly landlady. Over worked and needs more customers with covid 19 being the main draw back to customers staying at home more than before the outbreak. Lovely views and outdoor seating area. It's well worth a visit, meals at reasonable prices. 😋
