Although it was very busy, we were quick to be seated and short queue for the carvery. It was lovely, hot and we all enjoyed it. Missed the peas tho. The service was quick with our drinks and very helpful and polite and a nice warm atmosphere. We often eat here as its on our doorstep like home from home. Definately would recommend to anyone who hasn't been before x
Love it. The Leeds one Harrogate is perfect for me. Off the bus and straight in. Well priced. Good service. No complaints. I cannot eat buttered vegs. So they kindly always prepare me a very big portion of plain steam veg. Thanks guys xx
Good food, friendly staff and overall a good experience, would totally recommend.
Had Sunday carvery recently. It was very busy, the staff said it was more busy than usual. I was amazed at how organised the team were and how they managed to keep everything flowing so efficiently despite how busy it was.
The food and service was excellent.
The staff extremely helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere lovely and the food is always beautiful. Sometimes when I and friends have had a carvery the meat servings can be a tad small. But carveries are still our favourite meal. It's a shame I see so much waste where people pile their plate up only to leave a lot. Though some take what they leave home in a doggie bag which I think is brilliant. Wasted food is my pet hate. Thank you for having us.
Always consistent here. Which is why we come back. Our friend always wants to go here when he comes up north.
And we like this one compared to the others in our area as its clean, staff are polite and always have a good choice on.
The food is delicious but doesn't always look it as the area gets messy. Not staffs fault. Just how it is. The portions of meat are small, I presume due to costs, I loved that you had lamb on. My favorite meat. All in all we had a great experience
Beef was really tasty as always but the portion was again a little meager. Vegetables rather bland on this visit. Gravy always good. Sauces need to be monitored as there is no excuse to have to wait for horseradish sauce. Clearly the sauce dish had been empty and unattended for some time.
So! Food generally tasty on this visit but I have had much better vegetables at Oulton. Overcooked and a little cool. Roast potatoes were excellent
Now the real issue that drags down this establishment - The toilets! Again! Third time reported.
The urinals are filthy and do not look as if they have been cleaned since we last visited. Perhaps the plastic is stained and cannot be cleaned? This being the case, the fittings should be changed. Urine and water all over the floor. Not a good image and unacceptable from this customer's perspective.
Such a shame for the experience and reputation to be damaged by this essential facility not being 100%..
The friendliness of the staff is really nice. Our waitress this time was Paris. She is always pleasant "service with a smile". I am always happy with the food too.
Despite being extreamly busy, all the staff were performing their jobs excellently. We had booked, so whilst we had a small wait, the staff apologised and seated us promptly.
My only comment where I can see a need for improvement was upon leaving we had some food we hadn’t fully eaten. We asked for this to be boxed/bagged up so we could take it with us we were told this is no longer allowed. This is extreamly disappointing as we had paid for the food, but it would seem you would rather this food be wasted and placed in the bin, rather than saving for consumption.
We have visited a number of Toby carvery in different parts of the country
This one is the best
Friendly, helpful staff and the food never fails. It's gorgeous
We couldn't get a table for 5 as it was fully booked, so we booked a 3 and a 2. On arrival, we asked if we could be seated close. Thank you to the lovely staff who managed to seat us together on 1 table.
As you can tell from my previous reviews I love a good Toby carvery. If they are good I will say so if they are not I will definitely say so.
This Toby has surpassed all the other ones up to now for a fantastic breakfast offering.
There was no waiting for more fried eggs plenty were on offer. The sausages were perfect not hard & not overcooked.
The toaster machine was placed nicely away from the main carvery so no one was holding a queue up waiting for their toast (unlike the Toby carvery near Center Parcs Sherwood Forest, please take note).
They had a lovely breakfast at Yorkshire puddings available and they were not overcooked and they offered the breakfast gravy (which I feel at Toby carvery stopped offering).
This would’ve been a 10 star recommendation if it was possible.
2nd night in a row we ate here for convenience. Wanted something other than cavery so ended up with vegetarian options even though neither of us are. They were utterly delicious and worth the short wait. The bocolli and brie parcel was large and well filled. The melt in the middle roast was delicious although caused some confusion both ordering and when collecting from the serving area as there are no pictures on the menu to give a clue as to what it looks like and staff seemed to call it nut roast, which it wasn't and that isn't a meal description on the menu. Caused a laugh and we left well satisfied. Don't dismiss vegetarian just because you aren't.
I’ll be honest, I only had the vegetable carvery but it was really good, good value too. Polite, efficient staff, comfortable surroundings, I think we’re back next week, keep up the good work, cheers 👍
Really nice experience, food was very good and service was the best seen.
I eat at the carveries regular and this one was the best, the waitress (Chloe I believe) was really good in customer service. The food was excellent as the yorkshire piddings were big and fluffy, the gravy was think and all was nice and hot.
We have used this Toby Carvery several times now, this time didn't disappoint us. Food and service are spot on. Keep up the good work Toby Carvery.
I have had many great family meals at the toby carvery and every time it has been fantastic. My favourite part is the mac and cheese however the last time i went it had unfortunately run out. They also ran out of gravy but that was quickly resolved. The refillable drinks are great but due to being so full from all the food it was not utilised as much as i would like. Overall a fantastic place for a meal with a warm and freindly environment.
