Had Sunday lunch there this weekend. The food and service were both excellent. We both had Yorkshire pudding starters which were home made and perfect followed by roast lamb dinners which again were spot on. The roast potatoes were obviously freshly cooked and of very good quality. Only slight criticism would be that the broccoli was a bit over cooked but overall a good meal and good value for money.

Absolutely lovely pub with real fires, serving traditional pub food and doing it very well. Very friendly staff, great food, selection of real ales and all at good value. Highly recommended.

Lovely reception! Yorkshire people are friendly. Traditional pub with parking at the rear. Busy and good atmosphere on the Friday and Saturday that I stayed there. If you're visiting from afar, ordering a drink at the bar, ask for "a pint of Landlord", it's a thing.

Decided on a whim to stop here for a bite to eat. I'm really glad we did, as soon as we entered we were greeted & seated by a friendly young lady who took our drink orders (good selection of wines larger & ales) & gave us a menu. We ordered a full English breakfast (available all day👍🏻) & a portion of fresh salmon with mash & veg. Both arrived promptly. The portions were a good size hot & freshly cooked using very good ingredients. Absolutely delicious. I can highly recommend a visit to this lovely pub we will be returning.

Visited twice while in the area. Great pub with excellent food, ale and staff. It's a good idea to book a table ( either through their website or phone ) as it can get very busy even in the week. The car park is a bit small but you can park on the road just before the pub. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. I didn't stop here so can't comment on the quality of the rooms but if they are as well run as the bar / restaurant you should be alright.

Lovely meal at The New Masons. Busy but good service. Bar/restaurant staff are very nice and friendly. Our waitress checked if we were happy with our food, she was asking everyone if they were happy and fetching extra sauces etc. We ordered a bacon burger and a cheeseburger. Comes with salad, coleslaw and hand cut chips. I would highly recommend. Excellent value for money.

A nicely deccorated "old fashioned" pub. Great food, really nice beer with a well managed cellar. I have been coming here for years and the standard has never dropped. Get there early, ',cos they close early.
