Wonderful staff who make every visit such a pleasure. Friendly, professional and cheerful. Great food with a good range to cater for most tastes. The carvery is always a winner with our family! Although some of the decor would benefit from updating, this in no way detracts from the overall experience. The location on the edge of the Broads provides the opportunity to enjoy the most spectacular sunsets. We always leave looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful hotel with great views. Rooms are spotless. Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is extremely good value and the staff must be praised for their polite and friendly approach where nothing is too much trouble. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Wherry!

A surprise stay at this stunning hotel from my boyfriend. The view alone is worth visiting. Reception girl was lovely, in fact everyone we met was. Food great especially the carvery. Breakfast needs more choice on the continental side like some pastries. We'll definitely be coming back. Thank you everyone for an enjoyable stay.

We had a meal on a Friday night and were pleased to find that no reservation was necessary. I was a bit surprised to find roughly 12 chips came with my cod and mentioned it to our waiter. He said I had been allocated the right number as they had reviewed the portions. Interestingly enough, it turned out to be enough so they weren’t wrong! The cod was cooked to perfection. We will be returning as the meal was really good value for money and the staff were very helpful and understanding when our children spilled coke everywhere and kept running off.

We have visited The Wherry for many years and the staff and service is excellent. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The one drawback with the hotel is the single lift that serves the first and second floors. It is old and squeaks and squeals as it travels up and down the lift shaft. We tried to use it on Sunday when we arrived but it didn't come when called. eventually the receptionist "reset" the lift and it came. However on Tuesday at 10:15pm I went down from the second floor and it stopped between floors!!!! It would not move! I had to resort to pressing the ALARM button - no one came. I then banged vigorously on the door. After 10 to 15min someone came and I assume reset the lift again. THIS LIFT IS OLD AND DANGEROUS. THE OUTCOME FOR ANYONE TRAPPED IN THE LIFT WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS COULD BE FAR MORE SERIOUS.

I asked the Wherry to host a wake for my husband. From the moment we spoke to Sue Dellow (Events Manager) to when we left the premises after the event we had excellent service. Sue went through all the details with us at the first meeting and nothing was too much trouble and on the day boy did they deliver. Some of the entourage arrived early but the Wherry just stepped up and got the buffet moving sooner and the bar opened. All of the staff involved were a delight to deal with and the event ran so smoothly. The room was laid out lovely with plenty of space around the food area and round the tea/coffee making facilities and a lovely clear bar area. Sue and her staff could not have been more accommodating keeping the buffet area tidy and bringing out more food to replenish. They arranged a corner for the tributes and helped set up a slide show. We were also rewarded with a lovely sunny albeit a cold wind day but the views of the broad and a lovely sunset along with Sue’s help made this venue perfect.

The Wherry was clean and tidy, very popular with all ages. Food was good especially the carvery. The staff were friendly helpful and polite. Location was lovely in its position but a distance from anywhere.

We had a function in the Blue boat suit. Great venue and loads of room. Downside was they stopped serving food fairly early and with a large glass of wine at nearly £9 I did not buy as many drinks as would normally have.

Only here for music and dancing was a great night and I like the fact that no drinks allowed onthe dance floor . ( just need a bigger sign to say so like one above the stage in big letters lol ) would save a lot of hassel for the staff

Room was fabulous one of the suites, although we had a few issues with plugs and showers, evening meal great, no ghost ship pints on tap very disappointing ,breakfast bit of a let down very sparse all day breakfast ,now seating in bar area no carvery breakfast Monday to Friday not so great no ambiance it’s like chocolate bars a lot smaller and less appealing.
