Really friendly and efficient staff who were very welcoming, good easy parking and the Sunday roast was wow! Travelled with a wheelchair user and good access and, again, staff went out of the way to make small adjustments that made his visit so much easier and more comfortable. Well worth a visit.
We only had a drink here, called in after a long walk. There was no where to sit but the Barman managed to find us a table and chairs without having to ask. Just felt so accommodating and welcoming we wish to have booked here, it’s well worth noting for our next visit here, a good vibe and the food
Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the reviews are very critical, that said each individual has their right to an opinion. On this occasion the service was quick and the food was delicious. If, as some have described, this isn't a good place to eat, then I can say that was not
We booked the same room that we'd had the year before. A refurbishment of the bathroom had been done and the hot tap in the sink didn't work. We were offered another room however wanted to stay where we were as there was a working shower. Hopefully the tap will be fixed for our visit next year.
A pub in a village far from the crowd. Large garden and outdoor tables. Rooms are clean and quiet. Food and beers have good quality and taste. Service is slow, maybe a bit lazy or just distracted.
Well-designed and comfortable pub. I worked at this pub several years ago. The owners of the pub were kind, helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure to work for them. They also provided accommodation for the pub personnel who were not from the area.
Wonderful meal great choice and very fresh. My sister stayed and the rooms are brilliant. Very clean and the staff are exceptional
Lovely old pub. Food, sad to say, only average beef pie, scampi, hunter's chicken etc. Staff very friendly. Prices about average for pub grub.
Great local pub. Plenty of outside and inside space. Parking is available. Lovely food - ploughman's lunch delicious, fresh and huge !
Excellent customer service, good menu selection and absolutely incredible food. Dog friendly (even with a doggy menu including a roast!) Staff couldn't do enough to help. (If you want a late Sunday dinner, this is the place)
Just popped in for a pint. Served quickly and allowed a taster before choosing a drink. Nice outside area and set in a lovely village.
Lovely pub, and our room.was great. The only reason I'm giving it 4 Stars not 5 is that the shower was a feeble dribble, and it was almost impossible to wash my hair properly. Otherwise, everything was great
Fitted us in on a wet Sunday lunch time, everyone was very polite and helpful. Bonus was ghe roast was nice too.
Very good! Food was delicious, all 4 of us enjoyed our meals very much. A decent portion and fabulously tasty and fresh. The bonus of a dog menu was amazing. My boy had sausage and new potatoes and peas with gravy! 1 very happy pooch. This pub is a gem in the Devon countryside.
